Well, of course. I think everyone is skeptical of Harold. No one has said otherwise. Several scenarios here, but it IS possible he can play. Every once in awhile you find a Tommy Saunders.

As for the other walk ons...they are on the OL. We don't have the bodies. Everybody better be hoping our top 5 stay healthy.

Color me concerned with Harold at #1 DE

I'm not....remember not that long ago when we offered an unknown defensive guy with hardly any HIGH SCHOOL FB experience a scholly? His name is Charles Harris.

To echo the article, I'm a little surprised not to see Dilosa on the two deep considering he was mentioned by his position coach and the HC as on of the guys who were doing good things.

Shipp's line technique is different than pinning your ears back and trying to stop the run on your way to the QB. If Harold is making the proper reads and putting himself in a position to set the edge, does it matter that he is a walk on? Taking the coaching, a high motor and being in the right spot will trump measurables every time.

I like to see the guys making the plays this week earning the playing time. How often did we complain about Hall and Chappell fail game after game last year, yet kept getting put out there.

This was a long-running problem with the Pinkel coaching staffs, as far as I am concerned. We played too many wide receivers who had issues catching the ball week after week after week through the years. Yet they kept getting snaps. In a passing-heavy spread offense!!!!!!

Let's give the guys actually getting the job done a chance. Get the job done this week - get a chance to do it again next game. Fail to do your job - next guy up gets the chance next game.

This would be a wonderful philosophy change.

Ross, Ish and Crockett has run over, around and through the defense and that worries me.

Based on what? All of the glowing remarks made about them? Guys that were mentioned by the media all through camp didn't make the two deep that was issued.

It's probably just here and there that they have pulled off some runs were defenders have just bounced off them. I saw little samples of videos on:

and

I might be overreacting to a small sample size, but I will admit the backs looked kind of good. You might have to dig deep into those links to find those plays. I saw them about 2 weeks ago.

We've had such limited camp access it's hard to green anything from it. Hell, we didn't even get scrimmage stats like we used to.

I wouldn't worry about the defense. You've seen the vast majority of those guys do it against guys in different uniforms.
