Could be. But I dont get it. He only played one year under that coach before leaving. Doesn't scream, relationship.

Mo Scott really just gave his opinion just like he did when he said that Tilmon and Mark Smith might be Mizzou's to lose on Frank's show recently.

It's been over a month since Tilmon was released from his LOI and we have heard nothing.

I want Jontay first, then if Mizzou is willing to take another player get Tilmon.

Don't panic guys, remember JQ guaranteed that Tilmon was a lock for MU.

Tbh, calling JQ out for that would be pretty stupid. You should also call our MPJ and Bamba too while your at it. But I have a weird feeling and I'm guessing you're not going to do that?

Will you shut the frick up already?

I made one statement over a month ago "Tilmon will be a Tiger". At the time, it certainly looked to be the case. Hell, it probably still is. Although, I'm sure you're rooting against it so that you can run your dicksucker some more on a message board.

OMFnG. You said "lock" "he IS coming" in some form or equally assured way at least 6+ times if you said it once since he decommited ILL. Come on now. While we often disagree I have always thought of you having integrity. Hell JQ you may still turn out to be right, so just own it. While I mentioned it before, I have yet to officially change your SN from Jesus to "Jinxus" as of yet. If it comes to that JQ it will just be coincidentally convenient that the initials stays the same.

I'm not worried about Tilmon. He's good, but probably not good enough to be a guaranteed starter. Jontay would though.

I agree. JP is more skilled and versatile. I personally want both. Tilmon would give us the tough physical defensive presence in the middle/paint we have been lacking for what seems forever. JP in my mind is a perfect compliment as in inside/outside PF. Would make a dynamic frontcourt along with MPj creating some hellacious matchup problems for virtually all teams with the possible exception of Kentucky.

Who on the current roster starts over him?

If you take Cuonzo at his word that he is going to go with a Hoiberg style NBA offense, the best lineup would be
G: Phillips
G: not sure here, probably Robertson. But Roberts or Harris are also options
G/F: MPJ
F: Barnett
F: Puryear

If Jontay reclassifies, switch him for Puryear. Tilmon is probably better than Kemp, Smith, & Nikko.

That lineup doesn't impress me to be quite honest outside of MPJ. That might buy us 15 wins.

It's better than 15 wins, unless you think MPJ is worth 17-20 points and 6-8 rebounds. Or you think KA maximized the talents of Phillips, Barnett and Puryear.

Just about anybody, perhaps even yourself would probably be better than those 3. Of course I exaggerate to make a point.

Regarding your lineup I agree with Reedus. Also I think you are undervaluing the impact a true center(since we have not had one in forever) can have regardless of how the game has recently evolved. Especially if flanked by talented versatile players alongside of him.

That's a team that can challenge for a tourney bid for sure.

Phillips, Barnett and Puryear were all double digit scorers. Robertson is an excellent shooter at least. MPJ is what he is.

Still though. We are a lot better if add Tilmon or Jontay. Or preferably both.

True centers are overrated with how the game has evolved. None of the top 4 NBA teams have good true centers.
College teams don't really take advantage of spacing, but Hoibergs teams did spread the floor, and utilize mismatches.
Now if Cuonzo doesn't really go all in with that offense, having a true center matters more.

Tilmon's high school stats are not as good as Smith's, and only slightly better than Nikko's. His competition might have been better.
