No, we got too far ahead of ourselves when we lucked into the NCAA tournament in year one.

We’ve been beat by some good teams. The Jackson St was a really bad loss.
Memphis Top 10
KU Top 10
UK Top 10
Illinois ranked 14th
Seton Hall is 12-5 and beat #1 UConn by 15, #7 Marquette, and #23 Providence. 4 of their loses came before we played them.
Georgia 12-3 lost to 2 top 25 teams
South Carolina 14-2 lost to #21 Clemson and Alabama on the road.

We have had a tough schedule

There was some winnable games especially the SC and Jackson State, but only JSU is a really bad loss.

You can’t lose to South Carolina and Georgia at home.

We’re 0-4 in conference. I’m not sure where there’s a guaranteed win with this team.

Gates doesn’t trust his underclassmen and his upperclassmen suck outside of East and (only sometimes) Carter. Everyone know Honor is a liability on offense and defense. But Gates won’t play the freshman guard.

He’s going to waste a season try to collect some wins that he’s not going to collect while not developing Pierce, Richardson and Shaw. It’s borderline inexcusable.

It is OK to say this team is terrible. They are what the record says they are.

Poor defense. Terrible offense. Rarely any effort on the boards. We look like a terribly coached team.

this is feeling like Haith all over again, but worse. It is the first year of Haith followed directly by kim anderson.

Hubert Davis looked much worse last season with a far more talented roster.

Haith’s second year still had NBA and other pro talent on the team.

Other than that, it feels very Haithish.

Kim Anderson’s first year he had more talent than we have by a lot and it’s not even close.

His 2nd and 3rd year players he had Jordan Barnett and Barnett would be the best player on this team. Geist and Terrence Phillips would be a upgrade over Nick Honor.

This team sucks. Dennis failed in the portal and we are way short on talent. It is what it is.

However, Dennis IS a good coach. He’s recruiting at a level we haven’t seen. Hopefully he doesn’t shite the bed in the portal again, but regardless this is all gonna look a lot better when we have athletes with length all over the floor instead of guys like Honor, Carter, Martin and Vanover.

It will eventually work but it won’t be next year unless we land 2/3 studs in the portal. THIS team would actually be good with Love, Cleveland and Shedrick
