You are free to disagree.

But our bigs will be
Rosburg - simply overmatched at this level
Gant (fingers crossed) - needs more beefing up than one year can accomplish
Allen - good glue guy, but a little small at 6'6" and 185
Puryear - same, and a freshman
JW3 - should be solid

And I'm stretching it to include Allen and Puryear

A Steve Moore ceiling is about as high as the sky compared to rosburg.......we need to demote him to our low A affiliate Rolla.

So please enlighten as to how that is going to be so much worse. Doom and gloom with you boys....Honestly I want to see a lot more out of J 3. His bball IQ is low though. I can't remember what recent game it was, but with a minute left he decided to foul with like 3 on the shot clock when we were down. Having no clue as to the game situation in a 5 point game with under a minute to play.

Post hasnt been awesome, but he's had some stretches. With the foreseeable roster for next year, we don't even have that.

Post has been kind of a middle reliever. Not awesome, but can come in and chew up some minutes.

Next year, we're looking at deciding whether to start Rosburg or a 210 lb 6-8" Gant at the Center spot.

I really hope we dont take Cook. He's got a Steve Moore type ceiling, so maybe can play sparingly as a Junior and Senior, which is not where we need help right now. He's a 6'10 300lb below the rim player with a limited offensive game. None of that sounds appealing.

From what I've read, the Cook kid is a project. Not sure what you're getting.

I'm not sure what point is being made here. I would trade out history and current status for UK's history and current status in a heart beat.

I would also take a 1 and done type of talent in a heart beat. It sucks only having them for a year, but it would be crazy to turn one down. Not like that is an option.

Who knows how it will turn out but we lose Post, who has been our best interior player this year, not that that is saying a whole lot.

You're not going to get much more out of Rosburg. What you see is what you get.

Unless KA gets him to change, Gant isn't really an interior player. Neither is Allen, or if he is he's a bit small. J3 is not a back to the basket type of player. So as I see it, talking about bigs (back to the basket type player), we go from Post and Rosburg to just Rosburg. That to me is worse next year than this year.

The 2 most successful seasons recently didn't have back to the basket players.
Moore and Cardo were the only non guards
Demarre and Lyons were the bugs of the other.

Unless Bryant comes, which I doubt, we probably won't have a back to the basket player next year.

Change it from back to the basket to in the paint type of player then. Gant is not a paint player. Allen is not. J3 can be. Rosburg is.

Kim Anderson's offense bears no resemblance to CMA's. He needs bigs down low to go inside out.

The key is to get production both inside and out. This years team doesn't get any interior production making everything else harder.

If they can get production there next year the team should take a huge leap forward.
If Phillips is half of what Pressey was then players like Gant will flourish off the pick'n'roll.

Porter Jr is a close to a slam dunk as Mizzou will see in a longtime. His aunt is the head girls bball coach his father is on staff with her and both of his older sisters have already committed to Mizzou. If Mizzou fails to land him we just need to stop trying to "recruit" all together.

I'm really starting to like this Jolly kid a lot

I hope your right but I am hearing the opposite that we have very little chance to land him. KA also needs to keep winning so he is the coach still and the women's coach also needs to start winning so she keeps her job. Neither may be here when Porter decides. I don't want to lose him and I sure don't want to lose him to Kansas.

The women's team is over .500 with 3 starters missing the season due to injury. It also has it best recruiting class ever coming in. I am pretty confident that the coach will still be here in 2 years.

Porter is always posting comments during mizzou basketball games in referencing the team as "we", I am not sure where you are hearing that we have very little chance to get him. On another note, does anybody know an update on Jolly and when he will start making visits or a decision?

I haven't seen a timeline or a top 5 or anything from Jolly. His recruiting is blowing up, though. Gonzaga, SMU, Arizona State are all showing interest. SMU has offered.

I haven't seen anything to suggest Mizzou is out in front or anything.

I agree, ZouDerrty, would think we would be the current favorite for Porter.

I hope so but 24/7 Sports has Kansas leading and that is what I am hearing that he wants to go to a blueblood program. Hope not and hope we can get him to stay home. It is about time we get one of these studs from our own state especially from CoMo.

Nick Noskowiak a 4* PG from Wisconsin was released from his LOI at Marquette and said Mizzou, Georgia, Auburn, Cal, and a few others have reached out to him. Looks like we're wanting 2 PG's in this class, so Isabell is more than likely gone after this year.

I wouldn't cry if Phillips never came, to be honest.

Let's get this kid.
