At every one of Tatum's home games the following come: 4 grandparents, 4 aunts, 3 cousins, and 1 great grandma. #Mizzou #SLU will be in it

For those that forgot (I keep forgetting) we already have one commit for next year. Ronnie Suggs.

Just listened to an interview with Justin Tatum, Jayson's dad. For those not familiar or not in the area, Justin went to CBC with Larry Hughes and both went to SLU. He currently coaches at CBC, that in the past has developed D1 players.

Very good interview. Acknowledged how it's every kid's dream to play for the North Carolina's and Kentucky's of the world but he really wants his son to play locally or in the region. Well aware that he could go to ANY school in the nation, but playing regional seemed to be an emphasis. He rarely misses a game and doesn't want to miss games once he's in college.

While he's leaving the decision to Jayson, him and Larry Hughes have obviously let him know they'd love to see him play at SLU. Larry and him showed that you can go to SLU and make it in the pros. But if not SLU, he'd love to see him choose a school in the area so the family can watch him play in college.

Ultimately, the lure of the blue bloods might be too much, but this really sounds like a close nit family. Very intelligent family. They know he will in all likelihood go to the NBA regardless of what school he chooses. IMO that can help Mizzou when it comes to the blue bloods, might make it more difficult when it comes to SLU.

Was really impressed with Tatum. Maybe he needs a promotion to the college game.

Good interview. Larry Hughes stayed home to be close to his younger brother who had heart problems. That is the reason he went to SLU. SLU is having an excellent season. It doesn't look like they have much talent coming back. It will be tough for SLU to be a contender if they struggle after this season.

SLU's name will be in it to the end. Whether it's serious consideration or not, it will be there. SLU isn't going to be as good as this year, but they won't struggle. They'll still be solid. They play good team basketball so they don't need the world's best talent to be competitive.

I'm one of the rare birds that enjoys both, so I'd be happy for one and bummed for the other if he picks Mizzou or SLU. It would be nice though to have in 2016-2017:

Clark (Senior)
JW3 (Senior)
Jones (Senior)
Gant (Junior)
Wright (Junior)
Tatum (Freshman)

Who knows what the class 2015 will have other than Suggs.

No. SLUH doesn't have a UNC recruit. Tatum was playing a district tournament game at SLUH.

Really good video of Namon Wright. Not just a highlight reel. He sounds like a good kid. 100 made FT's. 100 made jump shots. 100 made 3 pointers. All BERFORE he STARTS his workout. Good interviews with coach and family members too.
