Kim Anderson had no head coaching experience at D-1 school and neither does Barry Odom. They are both alumni hires. Am I missing something here?

You know who else is a "true son"? Kim Anderson. Have a downvote.

You can't compare a fricking D2 coach to Odom. Are you for real? Not saying it's a home run hire in the least, but they aren't even in the same league.

I think he takes a DC gig with Bama or Auburn or a lower conference HC gig.

Quintana, you aren't Mike Alden by any chance are you? Because that's what this post sounds like to me.

Take that "true son" shite and stick it where the sun don't shine. You feel me?

This.

Don't bitch about KA.

A very Mizzou hire. I'm extremely disappointed.

Let the homers drink their odieberry Koolaid tonight.

I'm with you... Was praying for a home run.

However, we ended up with another "true son" with no HC experience.

Like you. Very disappointed.

This has "last ditch hire" written all over it. This is what they brought Rhoades here to do. Get Mizzou to the next level with a HC hire like this. A freakin first year assistant as your next HC in one of the toughest conferences in the CFB.

I hope the best for Odom.

Yeah the BO hire might sound bad because he's a true son and doesn't have HC experience... BUT Odom was going to get a HC job somewhere good no matter what. KA wasn't. All of the players and recruits are thrilled that BO is the new coach. KA didn't have that. We have the leaders and the players to make a run in 2017. KA does not. Think about it guys, BO is a pretty good hire and will benefit the program. It could be a great hire, but we'll find out a few years down the road. Have confidence fellas.

I'm disappointed that we didn't land the big guy. But this could be worse. It's meh. Maybe good, we will see. Hope he's ready.

This.

I'll be happy if we're wrong. Just too much risk in a DC hire with NO (NONE) HC experience. Oh, he was HC at Rockbridge HS! This is the frickin' SEC girls.

Well, that's what Mack said was his biggest prerequisite. Hmmm.

Who cares about sexy, HR, winning the press conference? Any of that shite.

I care about winning games and HCBO will do just that.

He was always a top choice anyway. I don't believe they offered the job to anyone else but Herman.

The guy was right here all along, and now he's in the big chair. Full confidence he'll do great.

Semo, it's starting over. But not in the bevo12 but the SEC. I too hope Odom is ready. Even a seasoned Pinkel wasn't ready his first SEC season. He got chewed up and spit out his first year.
