SDS is a shitty website. Our defense is going to be legit. Elite DL, solid back 7. Depth everywhere. No holes really.
That being said, we could be awful if we can't block anyone and that is a distinct possibility.

In one of the few times I will defend SDS (I feel unclean doing it too) there should be some fairly salty defenses in the East next year. I would personally put y'all up higher then that but as a whole I expect the East to play better defense then the West will this season.

Totally agree. But at the end of the day this defense will be better than last years top 10 nationally defense, plus will have a slightly better offense to help the defense even more.

What makes last years defense so scary is the amount of time they spent on the field. The defense is deep and experienced. If the offense can maintain 3-4 drives and score 17, the defense is good enough to win the game.

Kentrell Brothers may have been the greatest linebacker from MIZ in a generation. He was truly unbelievable. Yes we return a lot, but I don't believe anyone can even come close to filling his shoes. He was an A+ LB, even above avg LB play would be a serious decline.

Does that experience carry years forward? Having Michael Scherer will help fill that gap. Glad only Brothers is gone. MU has a good track record with LBs

Brothers benefited from a strong DL the same way Spoon and Gooden did. Good news is we have even more athletic outside LB's coming up who should be able to do the same.
