Signed non binding financial aid papers. Staff says they'll feel confident when he signs a lease. Imagine it's still safe to say he's a tiger

I think he starts right away. 6'1", 227. Straight line bruiser rb. his return game is huge, since we were literally last in the country at that last season.

would be nice to let crockett and a few of the other promising rb redshirt for a season.

Blocking was terrible in the return game last year. Hopefully Ross gets some blocking next year.

Though if he is the top RB he may not do all the returns.

I don't see any way he's not the returner. He might be the best in the country. Not sure if he returned punts or not. They may have a guy like Johnson or Black do that.

Really like how this sets up our RB depth though.

Ross/Strong

Witter as a 3rd down back, change of pace guy.

Crockett gets to RS

We needed this guy for sure.

Given that Black has been so injury prone over his career, I'd think they'd want to save him for WR reps.

I like the signing but if our O-Line sucks, we could have Jim Brown, Emmitt Smith and Barry Sanders and it wouldn't matter.

I think the OL will be better.
Some of the young OLs should have played more last year.
Hueppel also will be better at being more creative in how he calls plays to maximize what the OL can do.

Here's hoping you're right

I said it before & I'll say it again; IF we score 30 a game, we'll win the SEC.

With this defense, I think you can make that 25

That is a nice get for y'all. Heupel and Odom have often mentioned that they want to run the ball more and having a high quality RB will certainly help.

The big concern is whether or not your O Line will be able to play better this year. A lot of the misery Mizzou had on offense last year can be avoided with decent line play. I expect Heupel to move the pocket some this season with rollouts to relieve the pressure.

From what I understand Ricker wanted to play some of the underclassmen last year over the seniors and allow McGovern to play guard. He was overruled.
So Mizzou had 1 guy playing injured, 1 out of position, 1 guy was ok prior to getting hurt, & 2 seniors that really shouldn't have been playing.

You have a OLine coach who started all 4 years of his career. He does not know what a rotation is.

Not saying he is a great coach. Just that everything I have read from those with access to the program have said that Ricker wanted to play the younger guys, but got overruled. So he was forced to go with the older guys.
I'm not sure if the overruler was GP or Henson or both.

You want to have loyalty to your seniors but that is going way overboard. In the SEC you need to have your best players on the field, particularly on the O Line.

They looked like Tarzan and played like Jane.

Remember that this year's starters could not beat-out last year's starters in "some" coaches opinion. WVU game will show us a bunch.

This is a fair point but remember we never had O-Line problems until Ricker showed up; coincidence? I think not.

Henson called the shots, I think you can put 60% on him and 40% on Ricker.

I hope they can come up with a serviceable line. If they can this team could be sneaky good. They are thin there though
