It appears that Coral Gables and a certain non-read & react ego clashing coach you may remember has Trout thinking Hurricanes. Ironic team's moniker would bring up the NRSB's warning weeks ago regarding the forecasted recruiting storm heading to COMO.

Really happy to see we are recruiting the state of texas again. Was a mistake leaving there in the first place.

Looking at the schedule this year we have 5 games we SHOULD win and about 4 that can go either way. I think we really need 8 or 9 wins this year for recruiting. This years Missouri's class is loaded and I have seen a few people say 2019 can be even better. I would really like to see us walk away from recruiting this year with about six 4* players and I really think Lock comes back for one more year as next years QB class is LOADED.

Agree with the "above" as much as if I myself have been banging that drum loudly from the inception of the mistaken abandonment of Texas which was virtually publically announced when we first joined the SEC.

I understood the philosophy of trying to get more in to Florida and Alabama but they just went at it all at once as opposed to trying to phase their way in/out which was a mistake.

Latest offer for 2018 makes more offers to state of alabama than Missouri.

Shedrick Jackson

Interesting because he's Bo Jackson nephew. Which is why all predictions are for auburn.

SMH, I am unable process this and am doing my very best to avoid going off on a rant about BO & his recruiting approach/results. Still SMH

P.S. I am fully aware that Alabama is a consistant fertile hotbed but spending so much of your resources in the home state controlled by Ala and UA not to mention the other more regionally entrenched SEC teams hoping for left-overs seems flawed and counter productive. I am taking into account and realize we got the LB last year and have 1 verbal this year but it hardly seems enough to justify.

Sorry, I had to succumb to a mini-rant.

So you would suggest that Odom send his dline coach, that is well connected in Louisiana and Alabama, to places other than Louisiana and Alabama?

By all means, rant away. Keeping that kind of ignorance inside you isn't healthy.

To Navy & JQ:

quote:

Many fixed ideas are self-congratulatory. We feel morally superior. We know the truth. That is a comforting idea and colors our reaction to anything that seems contrary to what we believe.

While this is common among all humanity myself included, the extent that you are so reactionary to any and all of my posts not even directed towards you to include personal insults is psychologically more than a NaNa a boo boo I am better than you you juvenile retort. It shows that there are Ego/I'd issues deeply attached to your belief system.

I will give JQ credit for not sinking to personal attacks when he feels the "need" to respond with attempts to break down my opinion so as to protect his own personal beliefs He and everybody else has a right to these, even you Navy.

You and anybody else are more than welcome to come back at me in a civil manner, just be adult about it and leave the insulting personal attacks out. Not only may you experience personal growth but your positions will not be so easily downgraded based on your approach.

Thanks and have a good day.

Where do you suggest they "spend their resources" if not in Alabama? We'll probably pull 3-5 kids from there this year.

I know you like to bash BO just to do it, but for the life of me I can't figure out what the issue is here?

If the staff feels there are talented players in Alabama that can help us win then why not offer? I guarantee you we don't spend much time on kids who don't reciprocate interest.

If you are going to post drivel, at least make it well thought out drivel.

Anyone can disagree with my position points with or without foundation. However my posts, while they may threaten your psyche are at the very least well thought out "drivel". They have symmetry, are consistent and are not self contradictory.

The fact that you cannot allow yourself to respectfully disagree and respond in kind, shows that the "drivel" of which You speak is yours.

Look back at your very own replies. you will see that you have been one of the insult purveyors. Like some others you have responded to my critiques of BO as if I was chastizing your own disabled close family member. Have your perceptions but when you take things so personally it may be healthy to ask yourself why.

So for now your assertion is akin to a dirty pot calling dirty pans clean. So whatever. (as he brushes off his shoulders)

P.S To CRD, I want to acknowledge and own up to any misremembering I may have regarding your previous reply post(s) in my direction. I scanned your posts and while I did not have the patience for a thorough review I did not find much corroboration for my memory. As such, if I am "misremembering" I apologize in advance for my comments as they were directed to you. I would not mean to lump you in with those who HAVE resorted to personal disrespectful language and tone (and some definitely have) as it would relate to their disagreement to my position primarily regarding BO and related FB matters.

Well Cardinal, don't get it twisted. I "argue" for a living. Discourse/debating is invigorating and enjoyable to me. As a result I have pretty thick skin.

I can more than fluff off disparaging remarks but that was not my point. The problem is that a snowball effect that occurs by juvenile "piling on". When that occurs no longer do you have productive discourse, but rather a schoolyard nut punch argument. Those also can be "fun" at times but normally moreso in a playground environment.

In conclusion, you are right "The Rant" is the playground that I do peruse. While there is sports information to be gleened that is the forum for derogatory attacks ranging from toothless inbreds..to education levels which are common and funny at times. However, here at the "MSB" it is more set up for dissimination of info along with being a place to discuss OUR favorite University's sports team. I just would prefer to keep debate on respective disparate opinions civil, reasoned and productive interchange rather than falling into the "rabbit hole".

Thanks, I wish your 'ville Cardinals well.
