Not so fast. According to PM, Anderson's father says he committed to Mizzou Darius says he has not. I guess we impressed dad a little more over the weekend on his visit.

I think he committed but he wanted to have a ceremony on Sunday and we kind of let the cat out of the bag early.

Better for us when they make a bigger deal of it.

Rivals analyst posted on PM that we're still in great shape with Loudermilk and Bledsoe. Bledsoe will be cutting his list to 6 tomorrow and we're expected to make that cut and most likely get an OV. Loudermilk he thinks has a top 3 of Mizzou, kstate, and Okie State.

How pissed will KU be if we pull Bledsoe out of Lawrence.

The pundits tend to think that Loudermilk is a shoe-in for K-State. Bledsoe is predicted to go to Oklahoma.
Missouri defensive line coach Craig Kuligowski has worked wonders with several kids who weren't highly rated, turning them into NFL players.
When he gets the chance to mold star recruits, watch out.
Last year, Mizzou won the Terry Beckner Jr. sweepstakes, and this year, the Tigers would like nothing more than to lure 4-star strong-side defensive end Amani Bledsoe from Kansas.
Not only would they like to do that because the 6'5", 270-pound Bledsoe is a potential freak athlete who'd be perfect for the Tigers. He also resides in Lawrence, Kansas, and for those of you who don't know, Mizzou and KU don't really care all that much for one another.
Currently, the Oklahoma Sooners are the favorite to land Bledsoe, according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball projections, but Mizzou is at least in the mix.
Bledsoe's offer sheet is a laundry list of the Midwest's top teams, and others such as Florida State have also recently joined the fray. UCLA and Oregon also have gone out of their way to pay Bledsoe some attention, and he'll visit there, according to the Lawrence Journal-World's Bobby Nightengale.
Getting Bledsoe to Columbia won't be easy, but he represents the kind of recruiting battle Mizzou needs to win to stay a prominent member of the SEC.
Coach Gary Pinkel has proven in the past that he doesn't need star recruits to win games, but it sure doesn't hurt to pull guys like Bledsoe.

STLToday article on Scales. Few lessons learned.
1. Don't slow play in state kids. Had he had an offer, he would have committed and if he's anything like his dad, he wouldn't have gone back on his word, even after the Bama offer came.
2. Don't tell a kid an offer is coming and then not send it and tell him you've decided you have to review more film. Just review the damn film first before you tell him the offer is coming in the first place.
3. Not that we didn't know it before but we can now end the bullshite line that GP and Mizzou allows recruits to choose where they want to play. Always thought that was stupid anyways.

Man if Mizzou, GP & Kool what you on the D-Line why would you choose another position?
At this point they have a great track record of getting their DLs to the league.
TEs at both BAMA & Mizzou really haven't done much in the last few years. Seems there would be better options if a guy is really wanting to be a TE.

I don't disagree with that either.

We made Bledsoe's top 6

it's KU, us, OK, NCst, Oregon, UCLA
Got to think he keeps KU in there until final announcement so he's not hated as long as he can. I feel like it's between us and OU.

It is strange that he was good enough for Bama, but the Zou needed to see more film of an instate kid. Even though Josh Moore(2015 recruit) was one of the top tight ends in the nation and not a bad defensive end, Pinkel is playing him on defense instead of offense.

Mizzou is not "Tight End U" anymore. It is not in the offensive game plan.
When a school wants you to play a position where they have a great reputation or getting one you should not see that as a bad thing. That is a GOOD thing!!!
Scales will probably be playing on Defense at Bama. If he is not screwed by Bama and processed out.

I read that article a few days ago.
I almost couldn't believe my eyes.
What a disturbing story, if true, and no reason to think it's not.
I thought we let kids choose where they wanted to play?
We've been recruiting awful TE's for awhile now. Why not let this great athlete choose to play TE? Weird. Very odd.
If we're all about the athletic potential of a kid, why slow play this guy? Why tell him we need to see more tape after we saw him in person? That was a slap to the face.
Kid dreamed of playing at Mizzou and we treated him like shite.
Protecting the border is much less a priority than making in routes in the southeast, and that's a shame.
If he was from Georgia or Texas, he'd have gotten an offer sooner and told he can play TE.

We're desperate for a good TE.
Henson is a TE.
He wants the TE to be a part of the offense.
We need TE's for blocking. We need them to catch balls.

Mizzou did offer Scales before BAMA did.
He just didn't want to play the position (DE) that the coaches saw him at.

Sometimes I wonder if this planet should be renamed Stupid.

I wonder if it should be renamed "reading comprehension" or "gullible".

I have been a big proponent that if Mizzou is to compete, it has to start with becoming the destination spot for instate kids. It has to become the place where, if offered, they jump. Then you can pick and choose. Won't get to that level treating kids like that. And some wonder why there's been difficulties recruiting STL. I can't tell you how many conversations that story has been retold not just by Scales but his coach to other coaches.
