That is exactly the point that makes me scratch my head. Kentucky hasn't exactly been winning a lot games lately, nor do they have a lot of instate talent, but clearly more high school kids are excited about playing for Kentucky than for Missouri.

I agree with the underlying premise that the staff seems to struggle in state at times. The luxury that UK has, though, is Ohio is next door. They have 9 commits from Ohio already. There aren't 9 guys on the Illinois side or the kansas side that we'd take. UK seems to recruit the Columbus and Dayton areas pretty darn well. They're only about a 3 hour drive away.

For example, Arkansas' top 10 high school recruits are all projected to play for Arkansas. While Missouri gets maybe 4 of the top 10 that we offered.

There is no doubt in my mind that we have to get to that point. Unfortunately, there just isn't the statewide fervor for Mizzou as there is for Arkansas. Mississippi is the same way with OM and MSU.

I was really hoping we landed him today! He is perfect for mizzou, he has so much athleticism and is overlooked being only a 2*... What is he waiting on?!!!

It's committable, he's going to visit KSU and Indiana the next few weeks and wants to make a decision before his senior year he said.

Read an article and Bryant said Mizzou is high on his list. Highly doubt he'll choose Indiana/K-State over us. Seems he wants to stick to RB/Wr

Scales could be dynamic in our Offense, the tight ends we have at the moment are not really elite, high chance for early playing time for Scales. Also heard a rumor that Mizzou is recruiting AJ Taylor as a DB only, but thats just a rumor.

I'm not sold that Scales is so much better than Reese or Blanton. I think he'll be a helluva athlete, but I wouldn't go so far as to say he's so good he would leap frog all of those guys.

From that article, it sounds like Mizzou is #1. I wonder if college coaches get a little irritated by prospects extending the recruiting process longer than needed. If you like a place, you like a place.

Kids get to take 5 OVs in their recruiting cycle. That's 5 all expenses paid trips that you get treated awesome. I would be sure to take all 5 if I were a kid.

No question about that. And as to the above, of course, coaches would love to get commits early on from the guys they want, although even those aren't signed, sealed and delivered.

He went blew up twitter with tweets about how awesome Mizzou is, how Mizzou is his first option, how he wants to go to DLineZou. Made it sound like he was coming to Mizzou. Never had an offer at the time. Not sure if he ever will or not.
