Its actually a benefit for Thompson to play behind Lock and start for one season. That's what Saban preaches to his recruits. Why get beat up starting for 4 years when you can sit for 3, play for 1, and on to the NFL.

O'fallon Il kicker Tucker McCann was just offered by Bama.
According to PM:
Tucker McCann had a great conversation with the special teams coach and one-on-one with Nick Saban.
We have also offered him and so has FSU. I've heard he likes Mizzou a lot.

Just wondering, does anyone know why Mizzou does not really recruit in Missouri "Kansas City" "STL METRO" area anymore?! Back in the day, Mizzou would get recruits from Mizzou! Now we let Ohio State and others get Missouri recruits like Ezekiel Elliot

They get more from the KC and STL metros than anyone else. They don't get them all but have been doing better, a hell of a lot better than pre-Pinkel and pre-SEC.

Back in my day, the KC kids went to NE and the STL kids went to the Big 10.
This past year, the number 1 player in Missouri went to Mizzou. He was also the #1 guy in KC. The top recruit in Stl metro also signed with Mizzou this year.
It's not perfect. But Pinkel is doing a pretty good job of locking down the state.
ETA: we also got the top prospect out of Kansas.

Yeah that is true. I've been reading this forum and I just wonder why people say 2016 class of missouri is down talent wise this year. Is that true? And do stars truly mean something?
