Juco DE's are Peter Bailey, Austin Roberts, and Timmy Hamilton. None have offers yet, but we're looking at them and there will be more I'm sure. Wish we'd look at some of the 4* ones, but time will tell.

In top 4 for LB Saleem Brightwell

Along with Mich State, Nebraska and Pitt. Syracuse maybe entering the picture.

Nate Howard now has a 89 rating on 24/7. WTF we gotta flip this kid. Has he visited?

I like that we're the only SEC team on his radar

No way Davis twins flip, family ties and life long NU fans. I do wish we would take a look at Tyler Phillips, OLB out of Little Rock, Ark. saw him play, under recruited 3 star, 29 ACT. Hope he's on our radar.

Speaking of Arkansas, wish we could do this:

LINK

They missed only 1 of their top 10 instate recruits, and that was a QB for which they already had a commitment from a higher rated instate QB.

Yeah, Beliema has them believing down there, but if they don't start winning in the SEC he's gonna be in trouble. Sucks he got a QB and OL from us last year.

Howard has visited and will probably OV in December as well. I think we have a great shot at flipping him.

I also agree that the coaches must do a better job recruiting instate. We've missed on far too many high level in state kids, and ones at positions of need too. It's mind blowing how we could let that happen.

A lot of it is perception. The staff isn't always high on kids just because they are rated high in state. We have lost several because we gave them token offers and not much attention when they wanted to be recruited like a 5* AA. This staff rarely misses when they put the full court press on an in state kid they "really" want.

notsince98,

Are they on full press with Howard? Any buzz? I'm assuming they are camping at Beckner's front yard.

I know Beckner Jr is a high priority. I haven't seen anything else as far as other recruits. I would think they are putting the full court press on a few kids at this point but things are too quiet.

I agree historically they've done well on their target recruits from instate. I do think they put the full court press on Elliott, Johnson, Wallace, Ofodile and Hentges just off the top of my head. It hasn't been a long term trend but the short term trend in state has not been good.

Are you just showing the freshman and incoming?

Dennis is a JR if that's the case.

Just wondering what you were trying to illustrate. We need some DTs though. No question.

I've also heard it's possible that Bailey may move there.

It's bizarre and concerning that at the position we are the strongest we don't have any commits. Everyone always talks about how kids want to get to the league, well it's pretty obvious the ZOU is one of if not the best in the country at doing that along the defensive line.

5* kicker Bennett Moehring visited Mizzou this weekend. He is more of a kicker while current commit Corey Fatony is more of a punter. Do not know if we have or will offer.

If they could provide us the kind of field position edge Baggett and Brinser have, I could live with it.

Sorry. Thought you were talking about the link to Arkansas' class. My list shows last years commits (minus DGB2) and next to it this years class so far. Yes, to show we need some DT's.

I'm thinking that ship has sailed, along with our North Gwinnett connection.

Oh well, at least we got Nate Brown out of it.
