Not playing very good competition in those clips but at 6'7" 290 (if true), he seems pretty athletic with a good frame.

reedus,
Are we looking OL or DT for this kid?

To be honest, not sure. Most all of his clips were on the OL. It's the first I've actually heard of the kid and I'm here in St. Louis.

Love is 6'7" and 290. He is the risk that Mizzou likes to take on unknowns. Size.
They feel like having a few recruits each year with those intangibles to see if they can teach them to play the Coach K way.

That was my thought as well. At those numbers, I wouldn't call him lean but he he could easily carry more weight too.

I don't know that he's the kind of guy we will take unless we miss on several guys. We really want a JUCO OT for our last OL spot, and we are after much bigger fish on the DL right now. If we miss on all our JUCO OL targets then maybe we spend a scholarship for Love, but Brown said he'd probably OV to Mizzou still too. I think Love is a possible walk on candidate if we wanted to turn down his Syracuse offer to come here.

RB party today as Nate Strong had 11 carries for 164 yds and Marvin Young Jr. had 25 carries for 261. "Ground Attack!"

Lots of talk on PM about us possibly moving Strong to safety when he gets here. I sure hope not as we don't have a RB like him on the team. If we get both him and Dougherty, one will probably need to change positions though.

Boy I hope they're wrong. Really don't think we need more defensive backs. On the roster, will be:
Seniors
Browning
Dennis
Johnson
Simon
Juniors
Gibson
Penton
Ward
Sophomores
Rupert
Sherrils
Wilson
Freshmen
Cheadle
Ross
Stribling
Wingo
Commits
Hilton
Perkins
Warren
These guys selfishly should probably prefer to play in the defensive backfield if you look at recent drafts but I'd rather see him at RB because after next year, we just don't know what we'll have.
Senior
Hansbrough
Junior
Steward
Sophomore
Witter
Abbington
Freshmen
Walters
Commits
Williams

5* kicker Bennett Moehring visited Mizzou this weekend. He is more of a kicker while current commit Corey Fatony is more of a punter. Do not know if we have or will offer.

As much as I want a solid kicker, I just don't know about 2 spots being taken up with 2 guys who hardly see the field, particularly when we have such limited spots in this cycle.

The link is to his instagram pic with Golden and looks to be a legit 6'7" to me. has about 3-4 inches on Golden.

I have to agree. He looks great but 2 schollys for special teams? If fantony were to decommit, absolutely, but he seems pretty happy to be coming.

I'm very ok with this. For a proven punter and kicker, I'd gladly give up 2 scholly's once every 4 years. They are guys that you know will play vs. some 3* guy you hope gets good enough to make it to the top of the depth chart.

Am I wrong or do we need about 4-6 guys between DL and DE in this class? We've talked about Beckner, Williams, flipping Nate Howard. Any chance the Davis twins could flip? I think I recall they have family ties to Nebraska so I doubt it. We've talked about JUCO, but does anyone have any names of who we're looking at at that level?
