Well, I've already jumped on this soapbox today, but I should finish my time in college this May. I spent my first two years at a community college and absolutely loved it. The classes were smaller and the professors were much more approachable and down to earth.
Conversely, now I'm at State and I feel like a number. So many professors are aloof, unapproachable, or just downright strange, class sizes generally vary from 60-300 people, the quality of education I've received has taken a nose dive, I feel nickel and dimed at every turn ($115 parking decal).
Not saying those complaints couldn't be made for college in general, but I think I would have preferred a smaller school.
