So I am not sure if we are even after Lard and/or Banks anymore. Going hard after Herard and Kegler...and not sure who else?

De'Ron Davis is another name to keep in mind. Lamar Peters said he was on him pretty hard to come with him to State.

They are clearly backups to Herard. He wants to take his visits or I think he would have committed. Basketball recruiting is different from football in that way, when a kid commits he's usually done.

As far as our board it's (not in order):

Herard
Tyson Carter
Mario Kegler
DeRon Davis
Abdul Ado/Banks/Lard

I'd switch Kegler and Carter but that's just the feeling I get.

Howland was in Virginia to see Kegler on his first day of school or something.

Looks like we are really sitting pretty for Herard right now.

I'd say it comes down to us and Kansas but right now we are in the driver's seat.

Something about Howland's comment on how special Newman is gets me pumped. I may buy season tickets just from that write up.

It has been a while since football had me looking forward to basketball season.

Shooters, drivers, passers – everyone’s game will improve and open up purely by Newman being on the court, and that’s not even mentioning the amounts of all three Newman will be contributing himself.

OP has been updated again. Looks like we could take up to 8 in this class. All of the prospects in the OP are definite takes right now outside of Darrlyn Willis from Pearl River and still might be a take even if he is number 8.

It has been discussed on the 24/7 board about who would have to go from the current team outside of the seniors and Malik to be able to take 8 this class and Paul wouldn't give names for obvious reasons. However looking at the roster these are the guys that will be here after the seniors and Malik leave this year:

Current Team
13 Scholarships Available

1. IJ Ready
2. Demetrius Houston
3. Aric Holman
4. Quinndary Weatherspoon
5. Xavian Stapleton
6. Fallou Ndoye (Spot 1)
7. Joseph Strugg (Spot 2)
8. (Spot 3)
9. (Spot 4)
10. (Spot 5)
11. (Spot 6)
12. (Spot 7)
13. (Spot 8)

The obvious two names have to be Strugg and Ndoye. So if we take 8 (IF) those are the ones I see leaving.

Of the guys we are still recruiting:

Done Deal
1. Mario Kegler 4*
2. Tyson Carter 4*
3. Abdulhakim Ado 4*
4. Darrlyn Willis 4* JUCO

Remaining
1. Schnider Herard 4* 85%
3. De'Ron Davis 4* 75%

Thanks for that, Howland is doing better than I dreamed in his first recruiting cycle.

Now on to the most important transition for our team, make sure Travis Daniels NEVER throws an inbounds pass.

De'Ron Davis has ruled out Arizona, so it's down to us and Indiana.
