I'm not sure what is more ridiculous, the catfish, or the amount of work Robertson put in to uncover the catfish. Holy shite.

The inconsistencies increased as digging went deeper. A trip to Fulton, Mississippi provided me with the chance to review some yearbooks from Itawamba AHS. There were a few students named Anna and even one Ana, but no Presleys and certainly no Analesa Presleys.
My first stop in the hamlet of Tremont was at a gas station where the owner could not have been more helpful. I showed him and a few customers the current profile picture of "Analesa". None said they had seen her. One gentleman agreed to call his wife, who worked at the Tremont Attendance center for her entire adult life. The helpful Mrs. reported no recollection of an Analesa Presley attending during her tenure.
One gentleman told me to check across the street at the floral shop, because the owners were genuine Ole Miss fans. If there were others in town, they would certainly know them. Folks there made time for me and they like those at the gas station had never seen the young lady picture on Analesa Presley's social media accounts.
Before leaving town I stopped at Tremont Grocery, sitting conveniently in a fork in the road towards Fulton. I arrived just before a couple of local businesses shut down for lunch and most made their way over to the small country store. One 23-year-old lifelong Tremont resident, Carey, told me, "I wish there was a girl like that around here, but there ain't. I would have remembered her."
After a trip to Itawamba County, it was clear that there were more questions than answers as it pertained to Analesa. Everything that had been reported was turning into a dead end. Not only did we have an account contacting recruits via social media, it appeared that they were doing so under false pretenses.
While I was confident that this social media profile was fake, there was very little information about who was controlling the account or who was the smiling face in all of the profile pictures?
As fate would have it, a tip came in that led me to contact a young lady from Dalton, Georgia by the name of Bailey Sims. After connecting with Sims on social media, it was clear that her pictures had a striking resemblance with those supposedly of one Analesa Presley. In fact, all of the profile pictures on every form of social media for Analesa Presley was either Bailey Sims or her sister Ashley.
"It all just creeps me out," Bailey said. "I can't believe something like this would ever happen."
Ironically, this was not the first time something like this has taken place involving the sisters Sims and Presley.
"We were just talking about this about a week ago," Bailey said. "We don't go around telling people that my sister got 'catfished', but a couple of years ago, this account with the name Analesa Presley used a bunch of my sister's pictures. I can't believe she did it again."
As it turns out, Presley stopped using Ashley's pictures and began using one of Bailey as her primary picture on all forms of social media.

Huh...that's kind of interesting actually. So does anyone know who the actual person is behind it?

If people within the OM football program wouldn't have been tweeting at her, I doubt he would have done all of this.
It does look weird that they had any affiliation with her at all, so now there's some conspiracy theory that the football program was running the account.

It's not that hard to figure out who was using it. Is the account still active? Social media is notoriously insecure.

I don't think so.

I wish Steve could get some screenshots of former recruits' DM conversations with AP.

We figured this out a couple of years ago. My theory is still not completely proven but it is pretty obvious the make it rain sports guys were the ones behind it.

Thanks for that. and
I concur.
I felt like he could have wrote a lot more about the situation, like explain exactly what was so wrong about a fake account other than tweeting recruits(which OM fans do constantly so that's nothing new). AP put quite a few people on blast on twitter in defense of "her"self, posting people's personal information on there and inciting people to go after them personally. Hopefully the people behind AP come to some kind of justice.
He quoted the girl(s) in the article but then yesterday on twitter there were RT's saying they weren't even mad about it, which contradicts their quotes in the article.

I think that's the general consensus.

I'm sorry but a couple guys using a girl's picture to tweet at other teenage guys constantly in an effort to lure them to their school of choice is next-level weirdness.

True...But Robertson is a headbanging heavy metal fan with long hair who writes about recruiting and has almost daily contact with teenagers. It's like oil and water.
