Our OL is going to need to mesh, not just for LSU, but for every opponent we play.

your WRs should be a match for their DBs
True. I'm hoping for some kind of fricked up Steele scheme so we can absolutely torch them.

My concern for State is your front 7 in regards to LSU's run game but even that isn't a mismatch.
I expect our front 7 to dominate again. We might even go big in our LB'ing corps. DL will be more than fine.

If our db's can cover just enough to let our dl and lb's to stuff the run and harass the QB it will be a repeat of last year. I don't think their QB play will be improved much if any.

All we have to do is slow Fournette down and we win.

I believe Evan is going to be in the locker room and giving the pregame speech. Evan is going to go all Joe Kane on us. Evan may also get coked out of his mind and hit Fouricatette with a lead pipe like Johnny Wad did in Wonderland.

That hasn't been a problem since he got on campus

Steele was part of a successful defensive effort against MSU last year at Bama. LSU has comparable defensive talent. I was all on board for MSU stomping LSU last year but I think this is going to be a close one.

Lol
Deshea Townsend was apart of some great Dick Labeau defenses look like the Steel Curtain will make it's second home in Starkville

Didn't they give up a ton of yards in the second half? I think we had like 400 total but the first half was mainly us having explosive diarrhea in the bed.

You only had 428 total yards.

So my comment was accurate?

Genetic ;-) game plan against the Mustard Buzzards.
Pass the ball all over the yard Vs. LSU.

Townsends AlaBama teammates started calling him "Flag" after a loss to State, bc of his PI.
What was the name of that State receiver from Vicksburg that screwed him into the ground?
Kevin Prentiss?

Kevin Steele sucks. Fortunately our offense is actually good.

It's hard to lose players like Mckinney and Smith to the draft and expect similar production even with a rotating scheme. By no means will you be bad up front it's all about how you match up with LSU's offensive line and right now I would give them the advantage. Your secondary is superior to their WRs and QBs so you're right going heavy in the LBs would help alleviate their line.

I expect Ryan Brown to be every bit as good as Smith was last year minus the interceptions. That is completely chance for a defensive lineman in most instances. McKinney will be a loss for sure but I don't expect much of a drop off.

They lost Collins, and from what I remember, I don't remember them being very good other than him. We got to Jennings early and often in that game.

I don't know man. LSU has some studs out there, my biggest thing would just be their ability to get them the ball.

I think we match up with them on the outside and really put a focus on stopping the run. If they beat us throwing the ball then I can take that. They shouldn't beat us on the ground.
