You are fricking high as shite.

Did you happen to watch that freakin game last night or any of the games beforehand???????????

What this team lacks SERIOUSLY is DEPTH, yes he'd play some minutes. Anybody with any kind of decent talent would be fantastic to add some kind of depth to this roster. We need players that can contribute minutes and DeRunnya can do that for us.

GTFO with this weak arse bullshite.

@bobcarskadon: Craig Sword says he expects De'Runnya Wilson "to be a big help to us." First they've seen him. Sounds like he's gonna try and play both.

From today's presser:

quote:

Ray says a resolution on De’Runnya Wilson could come soon. Most of all, Ray wants “to be fair” to Wilson and says his post-grad future likely lies in football, not basketball.

“I plan on sitting down and talking to Dan [Mullen] and Bear and coming to conclusion … We don’t want to do anything to hurt his development as a big-time wide receiver for Mississippi State football.”

Sounds like Coach Ray doesn't think he can hoop.

We could sure use someone to give us 5-10 minutes and 5 fouls in the paint...

I agree with the assessment that his future is in football -- but damn, our basketball team isn't too far away from being decent, and he would almost certainly help in at least some way...

Did Ray say in the post game that he hadn't had any communication with Mullen and he didn't know Wilson was there until he (Ray) walked into the locker room?

Sounds like they're gonna push him towards football only, but ultimately it'll be his choice. Can't say I blame them - football is what brings in the money here so they want to protect it as much as possible.

Check out his Instagram. Nobody is pushing him towards anywhere.

I think doing two sports in college only helps athletes. The greatest college athletes of all time played two.

OP on 1/6 :

would be pretty fricked up if we promised him both sports, then didn't let him play. Elijah Staley probably would begin wondering about his own future too if this happened

@ES14_: DeRunnya Wilson just gave me all the confidence in the world to know I can play 2 sports at MSU! Glad I got to see if they held they word !

This all day

If Ray thought he could play and really needed him, he would have had all this taken care of already

We are playing a guy who didn't even start at Northwest community college last year. Bear can help us. Hell, Coach, I bet your fat arse could give us 5 minutes off the bench.

Hell. Let's just become the home of all of the guys that really, really want to play both sports. A lot of really good athletes have to give up something they love because they are told to focus on one sport. ...and maybe, just maybe, guys like ES will show up on campus with some of their friends.

This. Seeing him play first hand unlike 99% of the people posting how much he will help us, I can promise you if WIlson can help then our team is even worse off than I thought. The guy couldn't shoot, dribble, pass, ect. Also a 6'6 big man is not the type of "help" we need. If he were a 6'10 big man or hell even if he was 5'10 but could shoot, I would be all for him joining the team and getting 5-10 minutes.
