and the other will be the backup, did you just completely chose to disregard that scenario?

You'd be cool with 5 years as a guaranteed backup? Doesn't happen often. And also the beauty of the versatility of the guys we've recruited at QB in the past 2 classes.

I'm not recruiting a QB named Jawon. That just isn't a QB name, I don't trust it.

Then again, I feel the same way about Jameis.

You think we keep Staley and Fitzgerald both at QB for full careers at MSU? One will "win" that battle at some point.

And the other will transfer. Also, I don't see Staley as being the type of kid who will wait around until his SR year to start if Damian beats him out.

I mostly agree with that

IMO Williams was a good pickup late in the process of a QB recruiting year that fell flat. However I will be surprised if Damian stays ahead of Fitz and Staley long term. The good thing though is that we now have a number of good QB prospects that can fight it out for playing time in the future on the field. That's a situation we've rarely ever had.

If Williams turns out to be the Relf clone that he looks like I will be fine with that.

However, if Staley doesn't turn into something great with the amount of potential he has I will be upset.

Agreed...Williams looks alot like Relf running, but has alot more arm talent.

It's hard to prognosticate because all of them seem to be oozing potential...

It's a CL article. Not much to it other than Meyers thinks Lewis is "100%" Dawg after interacting with him at BDC.

I'm confident we get Leo, but as has been said before, his recruitment could start getting pretty wild between us and OM. I think his change of heart at BDC has all but ruled out him leaving Mississippi for another school, though. Keepin it in tha 'sip

Leo will be like Chris Jones, only for 6 months as opposed to one.

Jamal Danley EMCC OL
Fletcher Adams Brandon DT
Leo Lewis Brookhaven OL
Gabe Campbell Yazoo City DE
Darryl Williams OL

I would normally balk at such a statement but that looks very plausible.

Leo is making that difficult transition from linebacker to o-line.

Everyone could use a crazy night on Sunset Blvd... one of those "up for anything" nights where you end up on a couch in someone's condo in Santa Monica and realize that the gal that is passed out next to you was one of those crazy arse Tony g/f bitches on The Sopranos. ... and then someone says, "Let's go skinny dipping in the ocean", and even though it is 62 degrees with the water temperature about 59 degrees, you get up and go with everyone because that's what you do. ...And you get to the beach, and everyone realizes how damn cold it is, so the only people that actually go in the water are the 2 gay dudes. You have heard of banana hammocks, but you didn't realize how creepy they would be until you actually saw them, so you decide to head back to the condo to see if The Sopranos gal is stirring, but on the way back, you realize that you have no idea where you had been, but you find a different party, and no one seems to mind that no one there has any idea who you are. After a while, you get a cab and get back home and realize that the party you started ended up back at your place, and most of them are still there. At this point, you decide it is time to put a wrap on the evening and get people moving on which includes convincing a 20 year old gal from KC that she really doesn't need to use your cappuccino maker at 4 am.

Please let me know if you ever decide to go to College Station to see State play. I'll put you up for free at our family's estate property just outside of town just so we can hang and swap stories.
