At least we got a shout out from their assistant coach:

He doesn't mention state in there. Or were you making a joke of it? That would make more sense.

I was at the series in BR. I blame Wes Rea for everything

True...Wes Rea is a bum. Cohen should start giving some playing time to Garner. The lineup needs a major shake up.

He was actually looking really good at the plate before his abysmal performance this weekend, he just hasn't hit a bunch of homeruns.

I think Heck and Rea will probably turn it around at some point. Collins needs to be in over Randolph and Britton just can not be in the lineup. He is a complete zero in his at bats. I prefer the outfield to be Armstrong, Bradford and Henderson.

Anyway, they responded well after that horrible weekend in Arizona and hopefully they will respond well after this.

Agree 100% about Rea, Heck, and Collins.

Agreed. Detz won't make all of the plays that Britton will make at 3B, but he will make enough of them so that we can get someone else at the plate. Britton is fricking God awful.

Agreed. I really like Vickerson, but man he is streaky at the plate. You cannot, I repeat cannot, keep Armstrong out of the lineup. He is probably one of our best all around players right now. Henderson was leading the team in BA before this weekend and I would assume that is still the case.

Hopefully you are right. We really need to bounce back this weekend. I don't know what the frick is going on, but LSU's baseball and football teams are really in our heads at this point. It's fricking infuriating.

I would at least consider giving Humphrey's a shot at third. We know he has a little pop in his bat and that is something the lineup is sorely lacking.

In the end, I have been happy with the results that Cohen gets, but the journey there is often frustrating.

Ok, so I know people laugh at this and LOL Freshman, but think about it. Detz would still be the DH. Humphrey's is an outstanding defensive player from everything that we've heard. Worst case scenario, what in the actual frick would be the difference in having a freshman hit .130 than having a junior hit .130?

Britton rustles my jimmies so hard.

Exactly. I don't get the panic attack that most people are having. We haven't beaten LSU in a series in like 9 years. It's hard to go in the Box and even win one. Keep in mind, we only won 1 SEC series against a team we weren't expected to win last year and look where we got. Cohen always does a great job managing our lineup going into the SEC tournament and into the regional. He sets us up every year to make a run, its just up to the players to give a shite and go out and produce. You look at last year, and it wasn't just one player who stood out. When guys like Renfroe were lacking, guys like Porter came in clutch to pick him up. They need to flush this weekend and come out strong for SBW. A series win against Ole Miss could potentially carry a lot of momentum the rest of the year.

I meant only won 1 series against a team we weren't picked to win. I'm referring to USC, btw.

Edit: I put upset win, but I didn't think that sounded fitting, so I changed it.

Woody looks dominant again. He may factor in to the weekend rotation in two weeks.

We are going to have to shake up our lineup and play Garner and Humphries.

Why not? The guys we are playing are batting around and below the Mendoza line.
