I support the ban. Ocean is a welching, backpedaling pussy if he doesn't honor his word. If your going to be the one to bring up a perma-ban bet, be a frickin man and lose like man.

The OP is an idiot and he has been around long enough to know admins don't care about ban bets and they won't ban anyone because of them

I just taught you a lesson on contracts and remedies.

I am an actual attorney. You are wrong relative to contracts and remedies.

Contracts involve: (1) offer; (2) acceptance; & (3) consideration.

Your agreement had all three. You offered to ban yourself if he would. He accepted. Consideration includes agreeing to take an action you are not compelled to take or refraining from an action you are free to do (not posting any more fits the bill).

You didn't and could not have "breached the bet after Pruitt unexpectedly left" because your performance at that time was not required. You can only breach by posting after MH sends in his LOI. After that point if you post again you have breached the contract.

The usual remedy for breaching a contract is money damages, however, in cases like this (where money damages are not appropriate) a court would order "specific performance" meaning a court would enjoin you from posting.

You fail Contracts 101 and instead of posting a pic of the world's smallest violin you should have posted a pic of the world's smalls penis.

Ice has decided foolishly to allow you to let your conscience be your guide. I can only hope Chancellor Chicken decides to take a more active role.

Bets like this are enforceable regardless of whether the winner of the bet gains anything as long as casual bets are enforceable in the state where they take place. This sort of betting is enforceable in Louisiana. If the site is hosted there. The remedy is usually specific performance. That means if CapstoneGrad06, for some asinine reason, were to bring it to small claims court, the law would be on his side.

You really need to learn something about contract if you're going to say stupid shite like this.

Usually I don't support banning...

HOWEVER, I support the banning under these circumstances. The guy who even offered the ban bet was the one that lost, and Capstone who made the bet with him has requested the ban, bets been called in.

This is a perfectly reasonable situation for a ban.

What a pussy. It might be different if he hadn't tried to ban bet people multiple times.

Support the ban. He must have put out several perma ban bets and was obviously wanting to leave. Someone took him up on it and he must go now.

Since it's not signing day, wouldn't that mean no one has won the bet yet? I mean I know no one ever flips on signing day, but...

Wrong. Repudiation can take place at any time after the contract is created. Date of pperformance doesn't matter.

LINK

And as far as damages, what injury has capstone suffered from my repudiation?
