I saw a bit of it before it got deleted all together. The bad posts were whacked when I read the thread. Still some pretty messed up stuff on there, and I post a fair amount on that board

Thanks to Chicken for his cooperation and assistance.
The young man is in the hospital, this was real.
As of the moment, he's alive.
We still don't know the circumstances under which he ended up in the hospital... whether law enforcement found him or family member...
If it was law enforcement that found him, then it was because we had a specific verified situation that was made possible by Chicken's help, and Hugo for emailing chicken.

Thankfully, I've never been suicidal, but I can feel for those who do. I have been down in the dumps, and honestly this post does fricking wonders for outlook:

Wow. A big thank you and job well done to everyone who cared enough to try and reach out to a fellow poster, and even more kudos for those who were able to find the info. and call. Y'all took things seriously and every one of you are absolute heroes in my book - even if you think the only thing you did was care you made a difference.

It was a help thread asking the OT for the "detective" work. People made jokes, told the poster to go through with it, and just acted overall uppity about it. Luckily, we had done all the real work before that thread was started.
