I can understand 6-0 5 weeks ago, but we've played abysmal since Grier got busted. We are no where near where we want to be. I like how people say Treon has regressed. "Regressed?", when did he freaking "progress" into anything special? What have we done? Why are we still in the top 10? Why are we even in the playoff/championship talk? After Dec. 5th, we will officially be Bama's bitch alongside LSU.

I'll give you guys a minute to let the sink in. We are 1-4 against Bama since '08 with 114/69 PA/PF. That's freaking ridiculous.

No one melts about a 10 win season like Florida fans.

Finch....grab a looksee at the boxscore results of UF vs LSU in Treons first start after Griers suspension....look at his passing stats and rewatch video perhaps. Not great but pretty good...then look at him post LSU....so yes, he has regressed.

We are 10-1 because our team has a defense that is lethal and a punter who flips fields. Look at how many times FAU started inside their 15 yd line. I know most fans dont pay attention to special teams but they should. To be honest I cringed when our offense takes the field and feel better when our defense trots out there. The defense can score as many points as the damn O....or at least set them up with great field position.

And look at his record at CSU. First year was 4-6. Second was 8-6. Last was 10-2.

Proven winner

Harris has regressed. He played well against LSU and Georgia. Up until Vanderbilt, it looked like he was going to be a decent QB. Since that game our offense is a carbon copy of Moose dump
The line has been struggling, but he has plenty of time to make quick throws. The line wasn't much better with Grier but the ball got out fast with little hesitation. The Grier comparison is like beating a dead horse, he's not playing any time soon.
The only way they beat FSU and compete with Bama is QB draws and misdirection rollouts where he can throw or run. Most of his big plays through the air have been outside the pocket.
He HAS to run more now! Not having a competent backup is irrelevant now. We only have 3 games left, time to roll the dice!

Have some perspective, finch.

This is McElwains 1st year. UF was projected 7-5 or 6-6 and finishing 5th in the East.

The team is winning ugly, but the reason the offense is so terrible is because #3. He refuses to take what the D gives him week after week. This is the exact same OL as when Grier was QB but UF ran it better and they pass protected better. Reason being, he got the ball out of his hands and the D felt a bit threatened by Grier so they weren't loading the box.

I'm just happy to see UF win 10 in what was supposed to be a rebuilding year filled with losses.

Why are we 10-1?

1. Defense
2. The punting unit - Townsend and the coverage unit might be better than our defense.
3. Antonio Callaway - Our best WR and is super dangerous as a PR.

How are we 10-1 is the real question.

Why are we 10-1 is simple, we won 10 games and lost 1

How in the heck are we 10-1 is much more difficult to answer.

No way we make the playoffs. Not in 2 weeks anyway. Perhaps if they're both blow outs maybe but we literally are the worst 10 win team in the nation.

Eta: with this week's rankings, we might as well have lost this passed weekend? Ahead of schedule my arse.

10-1 with a first year coach.

Where the frick did you expect us to be?

We lost our starting QB 6 weeks in to the season yet still managed to get to 10 wins this year. Like others have said, you need more perspective.

Dont jump on me, i have been as positive as any Gator fan on this board, even predicting 10 wins if all worked out but the truth of the matter is we have done this with smoke and mirrors and a lot of luck. While we can rejoice at the 10 wins this year and the great job the coaches did, none of us should be satisfied with the product we are putting on the field at QB, O-line and place kicker. If we don't get it fixed, we could very easily slip back to 6-6 or worse next year. I have faith that Mac will get this done. Go Gators, beat Fsucks.

I would ask how Earth anyone expected us to be 10-1 right now without a lot of smoke a mirrors? The problems that were noted before the season didn't just disappear; the OL issues have really reared their ugly head the last few weeks. Treon has regressed with the line, a line which is young and pretty dinged up now.

This team was picked to have a 7-5 or worse season by many. They have way over achieved thanks to a stellar defense and an offense that finishes games, no matter how ugly they have to do it, a mindset that was sorely lacking until Mac showed up.

Mac's only problem is that he unfortunately gave a lot of fans the idea that this was possibly national championship team by the time we went to Baton Rouge. Now, as many Gator fans do, they are judging the team against some unrealistic expectation rather than trying to remember where we started this year. If we finish 10-1 or 10-2, this year was a complete and total success as we are way ahead of schedule.

I also don't believe a helluvalot in luck. Well coached teams look lucky sometimes because they are able to take advantage of opportunities that fall in their laps. We've done that enough to win this year.

We're an experienced OL and solid quarterback (I guess on and off the field in our case) away from a truly special season, and I think we're only a year or two away at this point. I'm excited by that, personally.

I think most of us knew when this season started we would a few ugly games, we just happened to be able to pull out a win. Coaching and leadership has made this team overachieve and now when the issues catch up to us, it looks even worse.

We are not gonna go 6-6 next year.

The OL will be one of the strengths of the team next year, with all the freshman improving and bulking up in the offseason.

I also am very confident McElwain will not start Treon next year.

He will not put up another half season of this QB play.

Del Rio, Franks, or Trask will start.

The defense contrary to popular belief will not drop off that much.

The DL and secondary will still be very nasty. LB is the worry if Davis leaves with Morrison.

The offense will have A LOT of playmakers next year and the schedule gets easier.

At WORST we are a 9 win team next year.
