Is it just bad luck?
I'd say losing 15 scholarship players is pretty bad luck. McElwain lost a lot of talent to the NFL and behind that talent someone (who is not named McElwain) didn't think or bother to recruit after them, offense or defense. Rebuilding programs from losing to FCS teams probably takes time.

No its not luck. 9 players committing fraud isn't bad luck. Neither is having players hurt. Its called a terrible strength and Conditioning program and a coach who has no control over his team. Keep blaming. WM. EVEN THOUGH 90% OF THESE GUYS ARE MAC'S. The biggest problem is the # of misses and lack of elite players this staff has had on both sides of the ball. I'll do a thread on it later today.

Straw was proven a fool during MUschamp when he pumped till the last day. This guy will never quit. He would still defend Butch if a UT fan. Rather pointless to try, the evidence is clear. Mac has a team that once again cant dictate pace, get calls in, act disciplined, and he doesn't care. Nothing is ever on the coaches. Its always next year with Straw.
Guess what. We will be average next year too. Simply what Mac is. Average. He isn't terrible, but he isn't elite. UF will never win a title with him, in the end, it means cut ties. He is just not an all around great coach. So keeping him only keeps UF from being great. No one expects a title this year. We just wanted to see the flaws finally fixed. The little things. Clock management, improved defensive recruiting, better game planning. He just doesn't have it. Simple as that.
