He won’t last 3 years without getting some athletes that have awareness and don’t need much coaching. Otherwise we’ll be looking for another coach by December 2023.

Mullen left this team in shite shape. Napiers got a lot of work in front of him.

This bad. I predicted 7-5 but we may nit make it.

I dont see any draftable players in D.

Tough year ahead. Better stock up on booze.

At least Miami is getting the shite kicked in by MTSU.

I predicted 7-5. Gotta win the next 3 now to get there. Might be a 6-6 team tho this defense is bad

This team can win games now. Not many, but they can go 7-5.

It’s the little things that are killing us:

- Returning kicks when we shouldn’t.
- The obsession with running the ball behind the tackles instead of getting our RBs to the edge in space so they can make a play.
- Seniors not knowing who their man is on defense.
- not taking points when we should, using timeouts when we shouldn’t, and overall mismanagement of the clock in certain situations.
- And for shite sake, how many false starts will we get this year?

All fixable, but will continue to get us beat if they aren’t addressed now.

The number 1 issue that is easily fixable is Trey Dean should never play in a game again. He easily given up over 150 yards, by himself.

How many times is he going to be allowed to blow an assignment, and give up 50+ yard completions.
Play the freshman, get them some experience for the future. We all know what Dean is

It feels like we've seen him give up TDs for 10 years now.

God he's overrated. He must be a practice warrior.

This loss was on the defense. 4 games in a row we can’t stop the run. Time for some changes. Players and coaches.

Trey Dean definitely had some bad decision today. But Patrick Toney is a not a SEC DC. I was really worried about Napier making this Decision and I said he wouldn't be here long and I don't think he will be here long. The defense played more then well enough to win the Kentucky game.

But for sure last week with a mobile QB there was 0 adjustments this week Hooker did absolutely anything he wanted to do against this defense.

I'm so happy for AR he played phenomenal today. But man this is the worst defense Florida has had in a long time.

This team can get better but geez 33 points should be enough to win any game in the SEC.

I do not like Patrick Toney and will never be a fan of his. I was hoping this defense could be really good this year. 0 chance this team gets to 9 wins 8 wins is there ceiling and if Napier gets this team to 8 wins then he will have done 1 heck of a job. He needs to really recruit.

Mullen definitely didn't do Florida any favors leaving talent like Zook did.

It's going to be fun and frustrating to watch the rest of the way.

I'm behind Napier all the way. I hope he gets rid of Toney and gets a real SEC DC.

This is about to be 2007 all over again. Except the offense other than AR and the OL really aren't talented.

Not tonight, but I have before.

It's like the call screeners ask, "What's your worst, shittiest take?" And if it is sufficiently idiotic they'll let them through.

TEs finally showing up (Zipperer) makes a whole lot of a difference.

I agree with the 2007 analogy.

I predicted 2-2 after September, although I had us beating Kentucky and losing to Utah.

Still think 8-4 is attainable, and frankly UF can beat A&M in College Station if we have no major injuries.

This loss was 100% on the defense. Whether that’s on the coaches or players is up for debate but I think it’s safe to say both need a TON of work. If we had a halfway competent defense we win tonight, we should be able to make them at least drive the field and take time off the clock to score easy TDs. Our offense did a great job and I think Napier being super aggressive and taking crazy chances was awesome, gotta do what you gotta do. It almost worked out. We kept their offense off the field as much as possible, but giving up big plays every defensive series after score didn’t help at all.

Some of ya’ll need to calm down n accept that we have very little talent in defense.

We do have some young players playing n getting experience but until we flip this roster it is what it is.

Where TF is Dexter??

Exactly.

There's plenty of warranted criticism of Napier and his staff.

However, it's too soon to conclude whether he will be good or a disaster.

There's some concerning thing for sure. But I do like that the team shows resolve and fights. That, compared to nearly every game post Bama in the 2020 SECCG, is a pretty good sign of the culture of the last regime slowly being pushed out.

I have to be honest, I am not sold or sure about P, Toney as DC. We'll find out, but I'm skeptical at the moment. Of course this defense has been historically bad for two years, and probably could've been in 2019 if it weren't for Greenard and Zuniga. So a young coach working with a squad that has been horrible for a few years does deserve a bit of time to see what's what.

Agreed. This team doesn’t give up which is great to see. Not sold on our DC either, it seems that they made no adjustments at halftime. Granted, Hooker played exceptional and our D is just overall average.
