We were literally the only two people on this board who said that LDR should have started, or at least seen some time.

He is better than Franks, he is so much calmer and poised. His reflexes are better, his pocket presence is way better and he actually reads the field. Franks, the entire game, got 0 Third down conversions, Del Rio got 5 and played significantly less time.

The last three drives had: 9, 7 and 13 plays, an average of 9 plays per drive.

The last three drives Franks had: 3, 3 and 8. It's just not even close when it comes to production.

I stood up for LDR one time against TJ. Just wanted to see Franks get his shot. He is good but way too raw. I always liked LDR, just thought he lost it mentally after his injury when all the ints started. I believe now the coaching staff was playing him injured and it totally screwed him over, mentally and physically. He is 100% now and he probably won the team over tonight more then Franks did last Saturday. That's really unbelievable if you think about it.

Don't worry about TJ , he is still sore after the girls school got handled by NC St...who USC beat

And frick you TJ...I don't have to be on the game thread while is in progress to comment...and I posted the reason why I wasn't and I wont be next week or any week probably.

I didn't realize you were the damn moderator now??

For a stat: He got 74 yards in a quarter and a third.

Franks had 85, but 45 of those were off of a blown coverage from Kentucky.

Franks, the entire game, had 40 yards earned through the air. He's just young, he'll come along, but LDR has got to be the surefire starter, and I can't believe fricking Zaire played in his stead with Michigan.

Why the frick do you run the toss to the short side of the field?

Here is football theory 101. The defense puts more guys on the long side. If you go short side you have the numbers game. Make a guy miss and your gone. 5-20 yard plays happen on the long side, 1 yard gains and touchdowns happen on the short side. It's a high risk high reward kinda thing. Drives me insane when they call play like that in certain situations though.

I like LDR for two reasons. He can read a defense pretty good, and he has some pocket savvy that makes the oline look way better then they are. Gotta give the oline some props though. They did some damn good run blocking on the last 2 drives.

Ey, TJ's been cool, lay off, Reel.

We won a game we didn't deserve to win (again), and now we're on a long stretch of home games with Del Rio starting 100%.

He looks better than he was last year, he manages the team -- it's exactly what we need on offense.

The thing is though:

Defense.

Gardner is NOT a safety. Holy frick, he just doesn't make downhill tackles very well.

We're gonna have a lot of young linebackers for a few years. We can't lose anymore players.

Duke Dawson doesn't look as good as Henderson or Marco Wilson. He just doesn't seem to have that quickness necessary.

I don't think there's ever "clean" Gator Game thread.

In game emotions for me are terrible.

Usually I have to sit around and ponder what actually happened a day or 2 after a game to make any sense of it.

Problem is, I have no clue what to make of this team, so pondering wont help me for shite.

The reason that I like your presser summary threads is that it saves the rest of us from having to watch them

So I got to work night shift last night. In a way I am thankful because I probably would've broke my TV. I just watched the game and to sum it up our offense is still up in the air. Joseph got ejected for a questionable call, We put LDR in and he didn't do terrible and we essentially won due to huge defensive miscues in the form of not guarding a WR twice and got a huge holding call on Kentucky at the end of the game that if it had not happened most likely they hit a game winning FG.

Toney and Davis are the real deal.
