Honestly I feel like they are just trying to hang on for dear life right now.
Yep, get into half-time, make some adjustments and come back out. Whatever happened on defense -- they seem to have figured out Kentucky's plan. They can't throw, they can't run.
Don't end up turning the ball over and giving Kentucky too much momentum, come back out and grind the clock, wear out their team.
I hate the idea, but it makes logical sense on the road.

Same. The coaching staff seems scared to death about getting too aggressive and making a mistake. Mac actually said that exact thing after the game last week. Seriously, he literally said something about people being so afraid of making a mistake that they aren't just playing the game. I don't know if he was talking about coaching, players, or both, but if he was talking about coaching, he sure as hell doesn't seem like he's doing anything about it. If he wasn't talking about coaching, I don't know what game he's watching over on the sidelines.

This is the University of Florida, if you wanna coach scared and be a pussy with your conservative play calls then go somewhere else. Still waiting on the fake quick screen to BP and hit Cleveland over the top on the wheel

3 and out to start. Great adjustments!

Our punt cover unit is BAD

I swear this coaching staff doesn't teach Felipe how to read the defense

I think what I hate more is that he also doesn't take those timeouts when we get a good stop. Even if they make a field goal, don't you want a two minute drill to try and at least move it down the field?

This could get ugly. The DL has to win this game.

Gotta frickin' blitz. You can't just keep relying on your front-four. At least give the offense to think about.

Guys... I gotta tell you... UK looks like the better team. This might just be the year...

Some how, reel with spin this game into a positive.

I doubt that since he called the UK game a loss.

Well, the offense is there. It's making first downs (or at least it was), but the defensive calling is just really depressingly bad.
So many soft-zones with NO blitz, nobody in the face of the quarterback, just letting him sit there, pick and choose.

Offense is going to need 35 to win this. At least. I don't see that happening.

Not if they can't even predict a fricking blitz. Are we the only team in the country who can't audible?

This is just embarrassing

What's worse is: McElwain is overly conservative in times where he should be at least a little aggressive -- then he's really aggressive on a 3rd and 9 with a reserve lineman in the game when he should just be conservative -- maybe run a screen, a slant? Maybe they get lucky? Deep pass play is just retarded.
