I agree with the coaches decision to not open up the offense much when we had such shitty field position except for 3 series.
We cannot play like that...
Our defense is pretty young in a lot of areas, and we have issues with tackling.
Do that next week against UK, and I guarantee you UK beats us by 20+ points.

Uh, no.
You guys need to pump the breaks on this KY love. They havent played anybody.
Stop their run and make their QB pass to beat us.

I saw signs that the offense is improving. The loss of Callaway and Scarlett may have had a bigger impact that I originally thought but we are finding some play makers and getting them the ball. Now if they will only hold on to it.
Defense is good but young and depth is an issue. lots of people are playing which will bode well for the future.
To win the East you need to beat UT and UG and we are half way there, although some other East teams are better than usual so we have to take care of business and not lose to one of them.
Coaching wasn't the problem Saturday, they didn't fumble at the 1, or after a big gain, or jump of sides a single time. Players have to make plays.
I'll take a win over UT any way that I can get it.
Go Gators, Beat Kentucky.

I thought Franks played a good game, the int wasnt his fault. Toney drops a td that the ground caused him to lose it as he landed. The screen pass was a little hot, if not the rb walks into the EZ.

We had ONE three and out all game. That's pretty decent.

Great stat to know. I heard some rumors that Mac took over the playcalling in the 4th quarter.
Anyone else hear that?

Huge improvement, but our defense had no rest in the second half. Tackling went to shite especially in the secondary, that will happen with 3 CBs and 2 NBs.

Spivey and Nick said that was BS - and they have a pretty good read on this team.

Florida has to clean up the turnovers. They aren't good enough to over come turnovers this year and they've had 5 of them inside their territory now and one going through the end zone at the other end.
If UF had 0 turnovers this year instead of 6 through two games they would probably be undefeated.
Have to clean that up.

I think we got closer this week on offense. We're getting close. I hope we take another step forward this week. It's been a tendency for Mac's teams to take two steps forward and one step back. Now it's the time for us to take this momentum and keep pushing forward.

i'm praying Felipe doesn't do drugs at any point of the season.

Think Mac has done a good job of developing Franks so far?

Goddamn it, Finch.
Nah, Franks seems like a decent dude to not get sucked into that bullshite with Scarlett and Callaway.
This is weird how much you guys are pumping up Kentucky. Eastern Kentucky took them into the 4th quarter, man. We were down 9 to Michigan, EK was down 8 to Kentucky and had the lead for almost the entire game.
All we have to do is move it down the field a few times, easy game. Just watch the first half of EK, those guys blew Kentucky off the line with, ah.
I'm gonna say much less defensive line talent -- and we got our boys back for this game to help rotate on the line.
We goin' to the ship baws.

The pass to # 80 the TE had too much mustard, but should be caught...Franks will learn to temper his throws as he matures...but I guess its hard not to show off that cannon he has. Most TEs have plywood boards for hands.
That pass should've never been thrown to the TE anyways. The 4-5 yard button hook by the TE should be the checkdown. If you watch the play, BP runs the seam from the slot and is wide-arse open against a cover 3 defense. All Feliepe has to do is throw the ball behind the safety and BP goes for 6. Looks like Feliepe decided pre-snap that he was throwing the button hook no matter what. I'm sure the coaches are telling him to read high to low but I think he'll learn from it and we'll get better moving forward. There was also another point in the game, I think before halftime and during 2-minute where it was another case of where he needs to read high to low. Franks threw the drag to Toney when Massey was WIDE OPEN on a wheel route, once again would've gone for 6. I honestly think the coaches might be drawing up the right plays and the players are just not executing a lot of the time, whether that be missed reads or missed blocks by the o-line, runningbacks or tightends. If you go watch the Michigan game there's a case of a perfectly drawn up screen to Thompson that would've gone for a touchdown. Instead, Zaire throws the decoy drag route to cleveland which would have been flagged anyways had he caught it due to lineman downfield who were setting up the screen. The players have got to start executing the plays and then we might have a chance.

Mac said he had 6 plays or so that he and Franks went back and critiqued after the game. So it will be a learning process for Franks but at least he isnt turning the ball over on dumb throws.
