Figured its about time we have one of these.

I'm home visiting family for Christmas. Back in Florida for the first time in over a year. Seems not much has changed

Work is kinda tough considering we've had multiple layoffs in the past year, with more coming in 2017, but it is what it is I guess.

Hopefully Trump lives up to his promises.

Sorry to hear that. Im in the restoration business and its difficult hiring good employees that are dependable and arent burnt out on drugs..we have had a record year and Ive been with the company going on 25 yrs.

I've always either owned my own business or worked for small companies where I know the owners and their families, cannot work for large corporations that make you a number.

I hate cold weather and most yankees for that matter (even though I married one) I got into it with a damn Canadian yesterday at the gas station....only 1 diesel pump and he parks to get regular gas and goes into the store to pay cash...mind you he was in a newer car ( of course he didnt have an American cash credit card), takes his sweet arse time and I just told he was blocking diesel fuel and he got an attitude...and he was wearing a Blue Jays cap so I had to tell him the Jays suck and he sucked and of course go back to Canada.

He was a fiesty fricker. I was sitting in my truck the whole time talking to him through the window and he is slowly pumping gas and made a motion for me to get out and tumble with him...OMG...I would have killed him...so I just laughed and that really pissed him off. He told me as he drove off to have a nice day and gave me a salute. His wife was in the car the whole time and she was screaming at him like hell. I dont think she wanted to drive back to Canada by herself.

I am trying to start my own tree removal service. Insurance for that line of work is ridiculous.

Didnt realize how expensive ins is for tree removal...how far are you from Tampa Bay area? I have a damn oak tree between my property and neighbors. When you have boats its a royal pain...but tried to get permit from county and they are buttholes with their protection of oak trees and this one is a real problem fixing to happen because it is near the county water line and its got some damn roots strung out everywhere.

I have planted mango trees...but I guess they dont count? Have five in the ground now...2 are mature 1 is almost there and will have fruit next year and 2 are still only a foot & a half tall...plus I have about eight of them a foot tall in large pots. Can you tell I love mangos? Have an avocado 15 ft and a lemon tree 10 foot tall.

Just come over in the dead of night and take that oak sucker out...j/k, my catty corner neighbor is a supv at county public works and would have a compliance officer at my door before you ever got the first cut...he likes to wear LSU t-shirts just before we play them to piss me off and likes to ride his bike by my house doing the girls school war chant before we play them. Nice feller, he is just lucky that I havent spray painted his house orange and blue yet

I'll get to go to the outback bowl this year which is nice. Last bowl game I got to go to was 2001 orange bowl lol.

I'm off for 9 days. 9. I needed that so fricking bad.

And I plan on enjoying them in some style because I got a ridiculous incentive bonus this year. Whoever thought up bonuses is a genius.

Enjoy your time off man. I know we all need it and time spent with family this time of the year.

You need to go Updyke on that oak in the middle of the night. When you see the signs it's dying. Get a arborist over there to confirm it's dead or dying. That way when it becomes a hazard. They have no choice but to let you take it down.

Trust me I've been doing this ever since I started this job.

Supposedly the industry I'm in is going through the worst cycle in history.

People that know me think I'm paranoid, but you just don't know.

I'm very careful with spending and saving.

Merry Christmas fellas! We may not always have the same viewpoints on UF athletics, but at the end of the day, it's important to remember that the players give their time, and high effort to represent the team we cheer for. Please keep that little thought in mind when going back and forth on the boards. Thank you!
