bullshite. There are plenty of instances of redshirt freshmen playing at a high level and winning a lot of ball games.

Grier comes to mind.

I think if there is one big thing Mac harps on to these freshmen it's going to be to take care of the football. I don't think we'll see Franks or Trask throw 3-4 interceptions in a game this year. Mac preaches taking care of the ball. A lot of the times Appleby or Del rio threw picks it was either off a drop or simply a bad throw and they had an open receiver that they just weren't talented enough to hit.

I think you see Mac's fingerprints more on the quarterbacks this year than we did last year.

Appleby had arm talent. He could not get the ball out fast enough.

Better rewind that game film Straw. Take another look at Grier's first SEC game against UK...he struggled at times and he certainly did against UT until the fourth qt. He got a little better after a few games...but he was not all that as you might think...would he have been better as a soph? I would think so. My point is r/s frosh QBs without any snap experience in SEC games are gonna take some lumps. After Meatchicken our next road game will be at UK and we have beaten them since forever...but dont think they will roll over like they did last year. They changed QBs and got better...they beat UT & Louisville.

Dont even look at Bama's QB and say anything...cause he was surrounded by elite talent...and he made bad mistakes as a true frosh...but he also made big plays...but his mistakes got covered up by the nations best defense.
