I lost what little faith I had left in Doug yesterday. We gave Malik 14 carries the entire game? Also, we had 3 possessions in the 4th qtr to win the damn game and completely deviated from our strength which is running the football.

At this point, I still support McElwain, but that will change if Nuss is still here or calling plays after this season. Our offense has no tempo, no rhythm, and no identity. It's a complete shite show out there.

3 possessions in the 4th qt....do you even realize that one of them was starting at our own 3 yd line? Then Franks a few plays later gets called for intentional grounding. He is starting/playing his fricking first year and we are gonna have to live with his mistakes as I warned back in August.

Perrine ran fine and the game plan (as it was in the UK game) was to use Davis with fresh legs in the fourth qt. We found ourselves behind and then threw the ball and Davis is a liability as pass blocker....but none of you realize that? Did you see him get steamrolled into Franks by the DE? The next play Thompson came in and blocked.

Spin it however you want. You cannot minimize the other things like tempo, rhythm, and identity.

A&M has a 18 yr old QB that hung with Bama, Franks sat all last year and looks like he doesnt know what the hell is going on out there.

If Zaire cant beat him out then fk it, put in the RS.

Thompson was open on 4th down, he throws into triple coverage instead

I would agree with you on changing QBs if it wasn't for the fact we have used many QBs and only Grier has been good. At some point it comes down to coaching up the QB and giving him game plan to succeed. We don't use our playmakers nearly enough. At this point we need an OC change at the end of the season unless we clean house after 2018.

BTW back when we hired Mac...I was posting that we should interview Canada, he really has a great mind as a OC. He is dealing with Eitling as a QB and a youthful OL right now..but he would have been a great hire.

The fact that a DB steamrolled Malik Davis right into Franks is even more proof he cant be in the backfield on passing downs. A RB has to do a lot more than run...he has to scheme block and understand protections..Davis is a true frosh and will learn.

Yes, A&M has a young QB who has great wheels...but isn't a great passer yet. And his QBR against Bama was 27.7 which is bad. 237 yds passing (mostly short passes) 1 TD and 1 INT. A&M only rushed for 71 yds on 40 carries against Bama.

I posted in August what to expect if Franks started, he is 6'6" and skinny as hell. He is growing into his body slowly...I swear he looks as if he is losing weight, not gaining it. His jersey is so loose on his chest. He doesn't like contact and he makes mistakes at times because he doesn't know how to manage the game yet and forces things. He is our most talented QB by far and is learning game by game...that's another reason for fewer pass attempts....the coaches are trying to get him settled.

We saw what happened with Zaire in meatchicken game...he isn't able to throw accurately and teams will stack the box. It might be worthwhile to use him in spot duty and give his wheels a chance...I don't know.

We ran the same play back to back on the final drive and tried to throw it to the same person both times. We need 3 yards and we are averaging 6.4 YPC and we pass two plays in a row. The two drives we scored on Perine, Davis and Toney got the ball 70% of the time. 1st half and last 3 drives only 54% of the time.
