Im more than ok with this....I expected it. Im glad Mac didnt bow to the peanut gallery and waste a r/s for the two frosh.

Appleby and the offense didnt commit any turnovers against LSU and although he played badly at times in the SECG..it is a case of him pressing too much instead of throwing the ball away...he thought he was still at Purdue where the defense was porous.

This decision gives both frosh 4 yrs to play and they may need it down the road in case of injuries God forbid. LDR may play next year and could be a good game manager if he can fully recover from physical injury as well as the mental part of hearing footsteps.

I'm fine with it as well. I wouldn't burn a R/S for one bowl game.

Not surprised. Franks or Trask will be the starter next year. We've seen what LDR can-can't do. He's not talented enough for this level.

Surprised he even had to announce this. The alternatives were:
Play a dude with a broken wing
Cheat a frosh out of an entire year for one bowl game

Would have liked to have seen Trask or Franks but I get it. Save the redshirt for the good of the long term for the program. LDR BETTER not start next year though, I'll tell you that much.

I have no issue with Del Rio playing next year IF ( and it's a big if) he can get his head screwed back on right.

He started the year off well, passing for 576 in the first two games and 186 into the 3rd quarter before getting hurt vs North Texas.

The injury made him gun-shy, he looked like he never felt comfortable on the field again. If the staff can get his confidence back up during the off-season (his dad will help with this as well) he may come back next year and be as good as we all expected him to be.

Good call but we need to win this bowl game! Run the ball, limit turnovers, count on the Defense and special teams to win the game.

Appleby starting the bowl game is not a surprise . I didn't think Mac would burn a redshirt just for the bowl game. But LDR should be done playing at UF unless all other QBs are injured. One of the freshmen need to start next year with the other as a backup.

Not bad considering where we are right now. Cast off QB on an offense made up mostly of Fr and So players.

Offense showed us a peek of its potential the last few games vs tough defenses. LSU went how many games without giving up a td? Last I checked Hamas D is pretty tough as well.

There are no moral victories in fricking football.

The offense has shown us peeks at it's potential ever since Mac arrived, but it has never been consistent.

The only consistency of the gators in Mac's tenure is inconsistent play, really all over the field.
