Before the season I said I wanted 8-4 with a bowl win. The reason for that was in Spurrier and Urban's first seasons, they won 9 games. In Muschamp and Zook's first season's, they won 7 games. Mac has done exactly what I hoped he would up to this point.

I said we would start 4-0 and lose the next four, then win the last four.

I think that we will go 2-2 at best in these next four games. I think Missouri is a game we should win. If we can steal one from Ole Miss, LSU, or Georgia, look out. We are looking at a 9 or 10 win season. I'm still confident we beat FSU, and obviously Vandy, South Carolina, and FAU.

As of right now I think our ceiling is 10-2 and we're looking at 8-4 worst case scenario. Thats solid for year 1 when everybody around the country thought the cupboard was bare.

Let me say this:

Losing to Ole Miss and LSU wouldn't end UF's hope at a division title. Just root for Alabama to beat UGA this weekend.

If that happens, even if UF loses both games to the SEC west, all UF has to do is win out against the SEC east and they will win the division.

That is not crazy talk - Mizzou is not a great team, and is definitely beatable, South Carolina will improve but they are still hot garbage, vanderbilt is half a football team, and the only true challenge will be Georgia, and that is always a fight.

That is how you win the east. If UF wins one of the SEC west games, that is just a cherry on top.

Honestly yes and no. I thought around 8-4 I think the same.

I see us beating one of the three toughest in Ole Miss, Georgia, and LSU. Probably lose the other two.

As for the other games, we should beat Missouri, USCe, Vandy, and FAU. But don't be surprised if we drop one. We aren't good enough to expect to beat anyone there but FAU(Vandy is getting better, fair warning on it). So while we should win all of these on paper(FSU being even), we probably drop one. Our LB depth is dropping quickly, we've luckily had no line injuries but if they happen we are in very big trouble. Add in this team is young. Winning games isn't easy especially when most of your schedule has bowl quality teams.

So I'll stick with 8-4 and hope for better but not expect it. I'm happy with what we've seen so far(outside of a few issues with play calling and our wtf tackling efforts so far).

na, i figured we'd win 9 or 10 games if the oline could be average.
