what do you think the chances of getting the game in at some point are now?

even if foley wasn't trying to get out of playing this weekend, Sankey dropped the ball and made the SEC look like a dumpster fire

I think the only realistic option is both teams (or SEC) buy out the cupcakes on 11/19 and play it then. I can't see LSU wanting to do that though. I don't see them moving back the SEC championship game to fit in this game.

We don't lose a home game. We would still get the gate.

It's your home game that got taken out by weather. That's unfortunate but not our problem.

Florida would pay LSU $1.5 million in this scenario.

That's not what you would be saying if the roles are reversed, nor what the majority of LSU fans would be saying.

You guys are the fakest fanbase around by a whole lot. No way LSU is ''cool'' with giving up a home game to Alabama or another team.

Your butthurt fanbase isn't our problem.

The roles were reversed and LSU lost a home game. The roles were reversed and LSU had a game moved to Monday. Never in the history of the SEC and hurricanes has an SEC football game been "indefinitely postponed". Pretty cool that we have that honor now!

It's called being intelligent -- which I understand is in low supply at LSU. Why the frick would we want to give up our home field advantage to play a rival on our biggest recruiting weekend? It makes no logistical, strategic nor intellectual sense other than you guys want to change everything around because it suits you better.

Which is what we're doing.

But you want to come here on our board and call us Homers even though you would do the same thing.

The frick outta here with your whining.

What do you want us to do? Give up a 2nd home game and go to BR?
We could play them Sunday at our place. I mean, they even offered to fly in and out the same day. Why is that a problem again?

Well, because when offered getting two in a row and giving us two in a row (2017 & 2018) to even back out your AD balked. Do you corndogs seriously believe that Alleva was just in the heppin' biz and not looking for an edge? Bless your hearts.

Sorry our AD is a legend and yours couldn't even figure out how to dump Les Miles without looking like a heartless arse.

As of Friday the Orlando Airport is still closed. The closest would be Tampa. Roads on Saturday and Sunday are going to be packed with the 1.5 million people that evacuated which if you didn't know based on possible projections Thursday included many people in the central portion of the state and people from the coast moving to the west coast. So you want a team to drive 3 hours to Tampa airport which says currently they will be having delays all weekend in possible heavy traffic then take a 2-3hr flight to BR. Which all in all includes loading gear and personnel turns into a 8-10 hr experience just to get to the stadium to play a game an hour or so later. All the while having about 56% of our team having family that was in the direct path of the storm and with only a day and a half to plan while also trying to prep for a potential Cat 4 Hurricane. I'm sure the equipment staff would've also appreciated that. By the way a game has never been rescheduled in this way meaning wanting to play only a day and a half after the decision.

Have you ever seen a team travel they normally ride with escorts around the bus, they have escorts to the airport none of that was available nor would it be available.

The SEC was the ones to make the final call on whether the game would be played Sunday or Monday not UF. The SEC spoke with the people that were going to be providing services for the game and the SEC said no to a Sunday or Monday game. The SEC were the ones that said they would make every effort to find a scheduling solution.

Yet you have an AD that stated he would do anything to get the game played...... except the NOV 19th date. You had a Senator that wrote a letter to Governor Scott saying not to play the game in Gainesville due to the POTENTIAL impacts of the Hurricane including and I quote "rescheduling the game for a later date". I guess that only applies if its a date you want where you want it.

UF and the SEC didn't make a decision based on what the storm did but what the projections on Thursday said it could've done.

Yes LSU moved a game to AZ State because your stadium was being used as a crisis center and would be for days. Yes you moved a game to Monday based on a Hurricane that came on the Thursday a whole 4 days after the event which if UF did put us on a Tuesday but you kept the home game because you wouldn't move it to Tenn. You also cancelled a game in 2015.

How's this for an idea. Since Saturday in GVille is gonna be a normal FL afternoon. You do what you propose we do and since you're so generous bring the security and people to work the stadium to and we play the game at 7pm Saturday.

It sux its not being played. I live 127 miles from State Rd 24 exit and its now 7:45 am on game day sunny skies and the wind outside is 3-5 mph. The Weather Channel made a half billion dollars in advertising revenue and Home Depot made about the same in extra sales in Fl, Ga & SC.

We wanted to have this game played..I have tix...unlike some folks we do have a lot of experience with hurricanes and the weathermen crying wolf. Sure the coastal areas had strong winds...but not hurricane winds. We get almost as strong wind patterns during summer low systems. But I get it, the panic and evacuation caused this game to be cancelled and because the roads were clogged it made having personnel and staff difficult at best to do a game, let alone fans traveling. As already posted....not easy to put on a Sunday or Monday night game....although Monday would suck having work and my stepson would not have been able to go with me.

As I have stated on the Rant and others have posted...it was the senator from La who called our damn governor and pleaded to have the game not played. Foley and LSU tried to work things out but obviously had an impasse, so the SEC and ESPN were then made part of the decision process. We wanted one thing....have game played in Gainesville and we werent going to have our only marquee game moved to another location...look at our schedule at home...it sux and there is not a great lineup of teams.

Its crazy what the fricking cajuns have posted on the Rant and the hatred and pizzing and moaning. It really shows the purple and gold bunch as immature. Our school wanted to play...Foley waited as long as he did because there was not enough data to support moving the game and these damn "cones" are bullshite to begin with. Florida has had a lot of scares over the years that turned into nothing.

I know one thing....UF and its fans have been slandered on the Rant. We all are passionate about our schools and I know that I bleed orange and blue...but after 54 yrs of being passionate about the Gators its sad to see what college football has evolve into.

In 1964 our game with LSU was scheduled in Sept and a hurricane forced postponement to the last weekend of football season. We beat LSU but in those days back room deals were cut early and we missed out on a bowl berth cause committees were of the mind set we would lose to LSU and end up 6-4, well we ended up 7-3, had a hot shot young QB named Spurrier and no bowl. There was no fuss or complaining. Things were different then to say the least. A lot of deserving seniors on that team didnt get the reward of going to a bowl game and we were 6-3-1 the year before and didnt go to a bowl.

LSU fans are the most delusional, miserable, fricking stupid fan base in the SEC.

Don't come crying to us on our board just because Foley played your bitch arse AD and the SEC like a drum. Although most of us are bummed we didn't get to see a football game, UF got the best end of this deal BY A frickING MILE.

And that is exactly what you are doing. Crying.

Not that any of it matters anyway because LSU is going to lose more games, and so the lost game will be meaningless anyways.

And it has been postponed just like he wanted. Moving it was not an option.
