Regardless, IMO the Gators win all 3. We do get a week off ahead of playing the mutts.

Anyone want to post some of the worst media predictions? I'll start with Stuart Mandel who has us going 3-9/1-7 in the SEC and last in the East.

Oh yeah, firing Napier too.

quote:

Billy Napier, Florida: Week 11. Big-brand SEC programs don’t let coaches have two bad seasons, and Napier, 6-7 in his first one, has the makings of a last-place team this fall. That former Wisconsin quarterback Graham Mertz is his best option at that position does not bode well. If he really goes 3-9, the boosters will find $32 million to pull the plug.

Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one. He is right about one thing, if the Gators got 3-9 it will get ugly really fast for Napier.

They want Napier gone asap, rival fans are starting to fear him on the trail.

Won 6 games and still has a top 3 class, dont let us win 8-9 games this season.
shite gonna get spooky in Gville

honestly do not see 3-9. Even if Mertz is terrible I think we can get to 5 wins

Definitely not going to fire Napier. I truly do not believe that these people really know how bad Mullen really set us back as far as talent and recruiting.

Napier has the recruiting going in the right direction. Florida has to give him at least 4 years. In his forth year if we are still a 6-6 or 7-5 football team then yes they will need to have a overall look at the program. But for sure it seems Billy is doing everything the right way and trying to get us back to prominence.

I'm not going to Lie if we were going into the season with Kitna as our starter I think I would be way more optimistic about the season

Very sad what happened with him and with stokes recruitment.

Agree, Hell I wanted JK in the FSU game when it went south for AR.

That said, I give Mertz a clean slate till he proves otherwise.

His backup didnt do to well in their bowl game with the same staff / supporting cast and hes been there since 19.

That is nuts but now with how Arkansas and SC were given bye weeks before us and ours is before GA who has theirs also I can see how someone could say 5-7 is actually a possibility. If we came out of the gate with losses to Utah and at home to Tenn I would say it's a decent possibility.

I hope you are right but I don't see it this season. Highly doubt Mertz can get us to 8-4 or better. I do think Indy is crazy starting Richardson in year 1 though.

I’m not saying we’ll be better than 7-5/8-4, but this 3-9/4-8 prediction stuff is absolutely crap.

I would say it's highly likely to be from 5-7 to 7-5. 4-8 and 3-9 predictions are nuts.

5-7 would be worst case unless things really go in the toilet or mass injuries

Heck I am a little nervous about my 6-6 prediction. If we can't even get the basics down 5-7 is a real possibility.

Last night was a shite show. A few things went wrong we started spiraling. Napier lit the fire for sure we'll see if he can salvage a decent yr.

That offensive line is a big probem. The one bright side i think we had more total yards but who gives a shite when you can't score and the kicker misses from 30 yards.

I tried to tell everyone the O line was not going to be good we lost 2 good O line man and Kingsley was out.

All I got was we are so more more talented across the board stuff. Look I am not calling for Napier to be fired. We have to give him 4 years or this program will be set back even more plus you lose Lagway. We may lose a few recruits this year and some players will transfer that is the world we live in.
But Napier is going to have to bring in a true OC him and Sale just are not getting it done the offense spits and sputters and the 2 minute offense is like a 6 minute offense it's not working. Can this team get better as the season goes on yes they can. But unfortunately how much better I can not say. Getting to 6-6 will be very tough now. You will have to win 4 sec games to do that I don't see that right now. That means for sure you have to win Vandy, Tucky, and Zou. Where is the other win coming from will you even beat those teams???
4 - 8 is a real possibility

My biggest take away from last night was the defense not putting much pressure at all on Utah's QB'S

Nope, if they correct the problems, it can still happen.
