Does anybody with subscriptions to 247/Rivals/Scout want to post the insider articles coming out of fall camp?

The biggest word it seems going around so far is how shockingly big the incoming freshmen are. They look like grown arse men and they're not even a full year into the program yet. That's going to pay huge dividends soon

Hasn't been much to report really. Toney is practicing in the slot, but isn't a natural catching the ball, so people really don't know how he will fit in this year, especially with Powell and Massey both at the position.

The new DT's are HUGE. Desir-Jones has moved to DT but looks tiny next to Conliffe, Slaton, and Campbell - all of whom look physically ready to contribute which is huge for this team.

Chauncey Gardener is repping almost full time at corner. Jaewon Taylor and Quincy Lenton are battling with Brad Stewart, Bryan Edwards, and Donovan Stinter.

Davis, CJ Henderson, and Marco Wilson are all repping at corner. Haven't heard much about the guys on the roster from last year, Mcwilliams, Mcarthur, or Putu.

Del Rio, Franks, and Zaire are all getting first team reps at QB.

That's about all I've read anywhere to date.

I've read that they had Putu starting opposite of Duke outside at CB and are giving Marco the first crack at starting nickel.

Could change obviously, if the freshmen are good and Putu still hasn't developed as they hoped. We were in shells yesterday and should be full pads on Monday. It's getting closer!

It would really be great if Putu could contribute in a meaningful way outside of special teams, but I am not holding my breath.

I also have read that Kylan Johnson may get some reps at nickel. Anyone else seen that? I can't find the link.

Having to depend on Putu and Washingtontk start in the secondary has me worried.

I read that Kylan Johnson has the ability to play nickel if we're in a situation where we can't get the right personnel group out there. He's 236 lb but came in as a safety, so he understands coverages.

He's a linebacker. He just has the ability to play nickel in the event that we are in a bind and need him to. Unlikely that he does that regularly, though

Johnson could play situational when its long yardage.

We usually have 5 secondary players against teams capable of throwing forward passes and sometime dime against the really good throwing teams or when its 3rd and 10 stuff.

Usually we don't see three LBs much except on first downs or 2nd and short. Johnson is needed to be on the field and play when it is an obvious passing down.

True frosh DBs will get their chances in dime packages because of lack of numbers and cream will rise to the top.

Zier? Maybe you mean the long ago retired UGA QB? He was my fav (and Spurrier's) UGA QB...just went color blind

Or maybe you meant Zaire?

I'll take that. Tez is experienced and a great tackle. If he has some time off I'm good with that and a young kid can get some time.

Chris Henderson started at CB over Putu today.

Kadeem Telfort was the guy getting starter reps with Martez Ivey out.

Taven Bryan is looking like a terror right now.

Always good to get the young pups some PT. It's even better when it turns out your best olineman isn't injured.
