Yeah ok...whatever Straw....Im too sick about Del Rio to fight anybody....hope he can come back in a few games but I think he has a serious knee injury and he cant redshirt. The only hope if he cant play this year is that the NCAA gives him a sixth year.

Agree. They are ferocious out there.

Not just ferocious, but they're hard to predict. When watching Muschamp's defense, I actually knew, sitting at home, what kind of coverage/blitz package was getting called.

They stick to their assignments and while there are big plays, we just don't seem to give up the POINTS on big plays, someone is always there to stop it from happening.

Obviously, this can change quickly, but I just feel way more secure with this team.

I can't tell if we're just that good or these teams are that bad. UK and NTX are in the bottom 120 teams in my book.

We had no LBers when we played Ga Southern...a walk on had to play along with a true frosh who had only played early on special teams and coaches hoped to r/s him...some kid named Jarrad Davis....but he was far from what he is now. You cant expect to have no LBers and beat a triple option team like they were and we did have Skyler at QB. 2013 was a fiasco of epic injuries....2014 is on Boom (but at least we beat UT & UGA), Straws favorite punching bag. he is gone now Straw...relax.

Dude, it's a DII school who had tons of injuries, too, and less scholarships.

If you're playing walkons at LB and a defensive ''Genius'' (who just gave up back to back near 500 yard games), maybe you should recruit better.

Oh, and not lose to DII schools.

Straw...when you have your third string QB playing and your offense is putrid...then your defense will look bad..why? Cause the offense is a 3 and out machine and the Green Bay Packers defense will look bad.

BTW we had just played South Carolina @ Columbia with said QB...and we only had 57 players board the plane and 4 were walk on special players, yet we took USC to the fourth qt with that "defensive geru".

You are in the vast minority when your views are contrary to a lot of football coaches...who think a lot of Boom...including Spurrier....but whatever..Im not going to change your mind...just food for thought.

Did you watch the presser when Boom was fired? Foley and the president were both close to Boom and the send off was something to behold....you just dont see someone fired and it looks like he was being hired instead. Boom had been very very popular in the athletics dept and all of the coaches in every sport liked him a lot. It didnt work out and he loved the Gators...but lets move on.

D looks awesome. Collins, Shannon, Rumph, and Gray are a helluva defensive staff.

When this season ends, it'll be more than a little obvious that he's not cut to be a defensive coordinator or Head Coach. He doesn't adapt, his scheming is predictible.

Mac has had more success with fewer assets, Muschamp just permitted two teams to get near 500 yards on his defense (like when he gave up the most yards in school history to Alabama).

It's nice to think well of him, but let's be positive that Mac is doing more with less.

There is an extreme difference in Pass Interference penalties. UF under Muschamp used to get a ton of PIs.

Edit: Forgot about the Tabor PIs

But the Tabor PIs were pretty spurious, there's one where his head's looking all around for the ball and the other receiver just completely misread where it was and tried to go through him.

The school record for least yards allowed includes a century of cupcakes as well. It didn't matter who past teams were playing; none of them ever held anyone to so few yards.

WM and Mike Stoops's buyouts are absurd. WM will return SCAR to pre SOS form.

Not giving up 485 yards to Mississippi State and 519 to East Carolina.

South Alabama had better stats than South Carolina.

Literally a team that got beaten by South Alabama put the ol' whippin' on WM's team.

Dude will not be successful there.

Less resources and administrative support, less history, less of a recruiting base, not as good of a school, plus he hired the exact same failed staff.

Recipe for disaster.
