I'd love Marion, or even Korn, but at this point I'd be cool with Calloway getting full time playcalling/OC duties

I truly believe Napier could at least have the chance at being a halfway decent HC if he delegated play calling and focused on HC tasks

I feel Billy couldve salvaged some favor among the base had he fired both OL coaches and brought in an OC, possibly even fired AA.

But if the brass wont pay the buyouts, its a moot point to think he'll survive next season.

Pretty much where Napier lost me was with his off season moves. Primarily, not making moves with the OL (yet?), not hiring an OC (yet?), and not specifying what he's planning on doing with special teams (coordinator? a position coach doing double duty? ANYTHING???).

Those are 3 pretty big areas that I was hoping to see changes in, and three pretty big strikes against him.

This may be the case. If so, he's screwed.

But the brass must not be too bright if they don't realize that being cheap upfront is going to cost them around $20 million in buy out funds next year if/when Napier completely falls on his face.

I think his buyout now is at $31 million, and next year drops to $21-22m?

I was hoping to hear something after other teams seasons ended, especially Liberty with Korn since the word was Marion wasnt on the radar.

Something needs to happen. Now

Seriously. If he's going to just promote Callaway get it over with so we can all melt and bitch about it and then move forward.

Marion doesn't seem to be happening. And Korn is done with his bowl, so he should be good to go if he's coming?

IF Callaway can call his offense, I wont bitch at all

Sadly, I feel he couldve turned it around.

I watched a video of him on youtube and his relationship to Chadwell (I think thats the HC) and they are pretty tight. Not the easy pull that ppl think it would be imo. Especially if Korn feels Billy is a dead man walking.

An article claimed Napier's buyout is 26 million if fired at the end of 2024.

I guess eventually we'll get tired of paying coaches NOT to coach at UF and actually go all in

Yep it's just crazy how much we blew on Napier without even an extension. His agent played the LSU was after him card pretty good I guess.

Now that we see just how cheap this operation is, I hate to ask but I feel I need to.

Do we owe Dan Mullen an apology?
We got mad over his recruiting, not going head to head vs Bama / UGA ect but now it seems he was just like, why bother? I know I’m gonna get outbid so I’ll just take the scraps. No reason wasting time knowing they’re gonna drop a Raptor in the kids driveway and we’re not.

We got mad he wouldn’t fire TG. Maybe they wouldn’t let him over buyouts

If only we had an NFL style staff with good coordinators

I think Mullen had to go. I know NIL has changed things a lot since he left but he wasn't pushing recruiting like he should have. We would have been pretty average in 2019 and 2020 I think if we didn't strike gold with Trask. Mullen even had to be forced to play him despite all the Driskeling Franks was doing out there.

While I'd love to see his work out..Im going to hold my breath.

Arizona St. tried the NFL office approach when they hired Herm. All it got them was recruiting violations and the program in flames.

Florida football is damn near irrelevant due to past coaching blunders by the UAA and ADs.
UF should be top 3 in SEC but is damn near bottom 3 with a boring, loser corch.
