I saw another former Gamecock was also involved in this. Anyone know what the hell Major League Football is?

Has to be brand new right?

Not sure what it is but I saw it being tweeted about the other day and Garcia was retweeting congrats from a lot of former ballplayers ... I didn't recognize any of them though, all from other programs.

Another league that will last 2 maybe 3 years.

I like the idea just bc it basically means no football withdrawals...even if it does last just a couple of yrs.

That is, of course, if it is readily available to watch via tv/internet. I'd be interested in seeing how G does, too. Seems like he has done a lot of maturing and he has definitely kept on grinding as far as his skills go.

Garcia was already in the pros once, in the Great White North...

I understand that there will be 8 franchise teams, and the season will start in the spring, but the cities for those teams have yet to be determined.

It could be that they have 6-7 of 8 cities nailed down, and are waiting for the final terms on the final city(ies) before making an announcement.

They apparently have a 2-year television broadcast deal set up with the American Sports Network ("ASN"). I never heard of it before, though.....

Add 2 more Gamecocks to the MLFB.

Best team name on that list as far as 'catchy' is Oklahoma Nation, IMO.

The rest seem kinda meh at best.

ETA: Ohio Union sounds like the name of a bank.

Have you watched any of the other leagues they had around this time? Do you watch Arena football?

I'm fine with the way football is now.

My little brother is reporting to a training camp for a team called the Texas Revolution, but I think it's a different league.
