Troll or not, he's an annoying little prick. This site is better without him.

Haven't seen this thread until now.

Will post tonight. But I'm skeptical to put personal info out here. It'll only show my first name.

SECFanatics is an old site that had too much cliques between certain fanbases, which kept them from drawing newer members and keeping the forums active. So it's not something I miss much. But I truly think SCgamecock2988 is a true Gamecock fan, if a rather negative-slanted one....

... if he is a "true" Gamecock fan, which I doubt because "true Gamecock fan" means something entirely different to me - then he's still a dick.

He's one of those idiots you wanna drag outta the stands and stomp the shite out of because they are 100% negative about everything and they want everyone around them to be just as miserable as they are ... that's not a true Gamecock fan. That's a sign of being a truly miserable person in all aspects of life. He's self loathing and he projects it onto something that he sees others interested-in on a social level in which he feels is above him. So what he is doing is simply drawing attention to himself and trying to argue that he is taking the more realistic approach to the common theme with his negativity.

Googling "common traits of miserable person" returned the following, among many more clinical descriptions of their actions and habits:

quote:

So if you aspire to make yourself miserable, what are the best, most proven techniques for doing it? Let’s exclude some obvious ways, like doing drugs, committing crimes, gambling, and beating up your spouse or neighbor. Subtler strategies, ones that won’t lead anyone to suspect that you’re acting deliberately, can be highly effective. But you need to pretend that you want to be happy, like everybody else, or people won’t take your misery seriously. The real art is to behave in ways that’ll bring on misery while allowing you to claim that you’re an innocent victim, ideally of the very people from whom you’re forcibly extracting compassion and pity. This may include passive self-mutilation, intentional destruction of one's marriage or relationships with friends, family members and office cohorts. Self-destructive behavior in like-minded social groups where common interests are shared. Frequent and open disdain towards a majority who fail to agree with, or show empathy towards, a negative view on a particular topic, situation or current event. All of these might be viewed as attempts to garner attention to the pathologically miserable person.

Being miserable can give the impression that you’re a wise and worldly person, especially if you’re miserable not just about your life, but about society in general. You can project an aura of someone burdened by a form of profound, tragic, existential knowledge that happy, shallow people can’t possibly appreciate.

I do not even want to be around someone like him ... IRL I never would be - I'd walk away and avoid him like the plague.

I'll give you a benefit of a doubt. Let's say you are an actual Gamecock fan. Why is every single one of your posts so negative? Do you think you're helping matters by always being a Debbie Downer? Do you feel better after repeatedly slamming our Gamecocks? The only people I know who do that are taters.

You're right. I hate my job and my life and I'm a pretty miserable person. When the Gamecocks don't play well it just magnifies things even more because I have such an emotional investment in Gamecock sports.

I work for the state. I make shite pay, I hate my actual job duties and my supervisor is the worst ever.

I have other issues but one is touching medical aspects and don't want to spill that here. Just started having it in April and its progressively gotten worse.

If you're as invested as you say you are in Gamecock sports, you should have a pretty thick skin by now

Don't let our football program's current woes get under your skin man, at the end of the day it's just a game. It's 18-21 year olds making decisions and acting them out on and off the field. Maybe you should try and find a hobby you enjoy, something that has nothing to do with Carolina sports...

Another reason I've probably been making all the bad threads is because I bought season tickets for the first time this year and I have very little discretionary income.

I usually just choose 2-3 home games to go to a year. This is the first time I've gone to all home games in a season since being a student. So yeah when the product on the field isn't good and I'm using money I shouldn't be spending, it doesn't help me with my terrible posting.

Just choose not to buy season tickets next year. You won't forfeit a lot of GCClub points if you have only had them for one year.

Here we go ... ::::::: sighhhhhhhh :::::::

There ya go ... we feel sorry for you now. Your psychopathy is pathological.

You start 400+ negative threads about our Gamecocks - a subject which is fun to most of us - and you do it in mixed company ... and now we're going to feel sorry for you.

Honestly, you need to go see a certified mental health expert. This domain will eat you up and spit you out and the first time a bunch of fans from whatever programs tell you to go kill yourself ... you probably will.

So for God's sake - use the great State provided medical benefits you have and seek counseling. The fact that you felt the need to post negative stuff hundreds of times about our Gamecock family - a group in which we pride ourselves as being some of the best in the country .... it's just sad, it really is.

And don't come at us with that bullshite about needing smoke blown up our asses either. This group busts balls when balls need to be busted better than anyone - often in humorous, sometimes legendary, ways. But we do not dwell on negativity and, speaking for myself, I personally do not appreciate you doing it out on the open SECr. Hell, even fans from other programs are weary of your bullshite.

I honestly wish the best for you, health wise, I do. God Bless you ... but frick off if you can't be content with being one of us and hanging around long enough to get the hang of things.

I've got this old saying of mine that I taught my kids from the time they were old enough to understand the spoken word - it goes like this; "What you think about, you do ... what you do, you become."

Turn your fricking frown upside down. Get your mind right and your arse will follow.

Jackson Brown once warned, "protect your enthusiasm from the negativity of others." He was right. For decades Gamecock fans, and I'm dating back to at least the 60s here, were negative thinkers. That time has passed hopefully - it should not be allowed to permeate through our ranks ever again. It was destructive and harmful to the cause.

I do wish you well - I hope you'll hang in there - but if all you are mentally capable of doing is continuing what you have been doing since you arrived here ... then frick off IMHO ... at least that's my vote. I'm too old to give a shite about people that want to drag everyone else into their cesspool.

On the other hand, if you decide to stick around and have some fun talking Gamecock sports and taking both the good with the bad ... this is the right place. This is the best little small group of Gamecock fans you will find anywhere on the Internet.

I'm going to be attending a big Gamecock function tonight and I'll be sharing what I find out tomorrow some time so, who knows, you might actually enjoy yourself around here if you give it a chance and stop your self-pity bullshite. I laugh so hard reading the stuff around here sometimes that I know for a fact it is good for my health. You should try it - give it a chance without shitting on the rest of us in the process.

Good luck.

I am going to retract my vote for banishment. I use to think I was pretty negative, but I'm beat. I understand why this guy post a lot of negative things, but it has become somewhat overdone. SC is not a bad poster, just needs to tone down the negativity a bit. I don't think he should be some sunshine pumper, hell I don't think any of us are. As a group we seem to be true realist compared to most in tRant.

I vote he stays. Give him another shot, show that we do actually care about each other here. With the option of kicking his arse to the curb later if needed. If what you posted is true then I feel for you. If you just made it up for attention and sympathy then frick you.

He probably doesn't even recall TV cameras being anywhere near him. And has no idea he's the one we're referring to as Cronk.

Y'all..this guy has got to go. Look what he JUST posted on tRant after his boo fricking hoo, poor, poor me diatribe in this thread:

Most paranoid SEC fanbase?(Posted on 11/19/15 at 11:21 am)

Sadly I have to say my team South Carolina.

The majority of them think I'm an alter because I verbally state my dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs.

If you're not sunshine pumping you're a Clemson alter!

Please, if you guys think im an alter, then who am I?

Up vote if you think I'm legit, down vote for alter.

I told him to GKY. Y'all warned him it would happen so that dissolves me of responsibility.

He posted that other post on the SECr before he posted in this thread CC ... so the change of heart might be understandable.

I hope he comes around. We can never have too many "good" Gamecock fans around here. I'm going to pull for him to use this place to his upbeat side's advantage.

Sorry, I refuse to believe a true South Carolina fan would go on the main board and state we don't belong in or fit in the SEC.

CG on my phone didn't mean to down vote you. I tend to agree with you though. I'll give him a second shot but you know what they say "fool me twice.."

Seems we're not the only ones who thought this, either. The upvote to downvote ratio spoke loud and clear. Consensus among tRant is alter.

Mike..Don't worry about the downvote! Even if it had been sincere and not a mistake, they usually make me laugh. The fact that someone took the time to read what I posted and form enough of an opinion to take the time to downvote it just amuses me.
