Right now we are sitting at 20 recruits. I estimate we will sign 25-28 on signing day.

Just hypothetically, let's say we get all those guys. Also that Javon Kinlaw is rated a 92 4*, and S Jonathan Abrams is rated a 90 4* as well We also might add 3* Matthew Butler. That would give us 28 total. with about 5 EE's, so we'll probably add 2 more unknowns. However, the guys I mentioned and you mentioned would put our Team Ranking in the 247 Class Calculator right around 238.8. That's assuming rankings for anyone don't change except for Kinlaw and Abrams, I am expecting some of our guys to bump up. Our final class may then be around the 240's...which would put us b/w #16 to #18 in the final rankings (based on the past few years final team rankings.)

Just a reminder, 4* CB Jamyest WIlliams will announce this Saturday, Aug 27th at 3 p.m. He will also have his schools game (Grayson vs IMG) on ESPN2. SC is leading the 247 CB Projections with 83%

We offered 4* OL Kavesz Sherard back in April but I haven't heard heads or tails about his recruitment. I think it's a Carolina/Clemson battle but I feel like there's a long road to go yet.

Man ... this O'Tre Smith thing. Heard today this one is going down to the wire and it's total 50-50 right now with UGA trying to make it a 3-way. Was told UGA is up to some funny business down there ... it's got the locals restless.
For those not aware of the legend, there is supposed to be a big time big money UGA booster who works the SC coast for UGA and has for thirty-plus years. He lives here and is supposedly in the banking or finance industry and he's built a strong recruiting network here really since the late 70s when he first graduated from UGA. There have been several attempts to bust him and they almost has him back when the last Geathers kid went to UGA ten or 15 years ago or so .... but the paper trail went dry on the car lot loan the Geathers got.
Then he popped-up again like the gray man during the AJ Green recruitment.
If he messes with Smith, I hope they bust him this time. If he really does exist of course .... I've come to the realization that he probably does.

Think about it though. The mystery cheatin' arse dawg has probably placed 11 or 12 lowcountry prospects at UGA over the years. Most of them have been very good players.
Was UGA even on Smith's radar before the past few days? I seriously do not know.

He's had them in his Top5 for a long time. His Top5 have been SC, unc, clemson, florida and georgia. I woulnd't overthink the rumor about this other guy too much. OrTre is going to either pick SC or clemson. Right now, it looks like SC. Word is that he's a little turnt off by clemson slow playing him so long, which is totally understandable. OrTre made the All Opening team, and then they wanted him. He was Muschamps 1st call this year, so we've shown him 'the love.' His mom is a clemson alum though. Right now I feel good about him picking SC, regardless, but I'm also not going to be shocked if family ties pull him to clemson. The other 3 teams really aren't in this, to my knowledge.

Come on man, you guys come into our state all the time and take top level talent. I don't think you guys cheat doing it and I don't think we cheat when we come into your state. When we got most of the upper level kids USC was down.
And we've felt pretty good about Smith for a long time. Not necessarily that he'll commit but that we were in good position with him.

ETA: Also heard Clemson is going to start making a real push at him.

Big difference for a number of the kids we lost is we lost them at the last minute and hanky panky ensued.
Green and the new car and UGA gear.
Geathers and his Dad and Uncle getting the floor plan to save their car lot the night before signing day.
Jobs to Mommas, renovations to homes, co-signings for cars, etc., etc., etc.
Not as bad as the Tennessee shenanigans in the 90s and early to mid 2000s, but still there.
Zola Davis had a great story about the mystery Dawg that showed up at his house four days before signing day.

Can't speak for the Geathers but they have uncles who have played in the NFL so it's not impossible that they paid for it.
