4* SDE MJ Webb said he's on track for Early Enrollment at SC this December. That's good news and the first I've heard about it. 4* CB Jamyest WIlliams was rumored to be an EE candidate, but he said he's going to finish out his HS year at Grayson and enroll in Summer I.

Saw where Boom is at TL Hanna v Boiling Springs tonight. I'm assuming all of the lower state games (Thomas) will be played tomorrow.

He played yesterday vs Conway, Wilson lost 27-6 I believe. That's what I read anyway, I'm in Spartanburg

Makes sense. I know a ton of games were rescheduled due to Hermine so I guess Boom wasn't able to make it.

OrTre Smith is set to announce this coming Sunday (the 11th).

Everyone still feel good about him?

Anyone figure we can seal the deal with a win Saturday and a healthy attack through the air?

My head says he'll sign with us but my gut says Clemson.

This just in: our previously lowest rated player for the next class Davonne Bowen has been rated by 247 as a 4*. He's#3 overall in the state, to 20 lb in his class and #240 overall.

He deserves it. He has track speed at 220 lbs. He ran an electronically timed 10.8 in the 100m.

With that Cock Bump in the rankings, we move up to #8 on 247's Site Rankings, and 4th in the SEC. His offer came at a camp from coach Coleman Hutzler, another solid eval of a guy and not just looking at his current Stars/Rating.

Is he a SC homegrown prospect? I need to get caught up on all these prospects. I used to know them like the back of my hand but I guess I'm behind on the times.

So we've finally seen one of our commitments rise in the rankings rather than fall ... that's gotta be a first.

We will know tomorrow at 4PM. This would be a huge signing IMO. It's a long time til NSD, and we'll be fighting off top teams for OrTre until then if he does commit here.

People talk about 'watershed moments' a lot when big things get shaken up. I don't think this could be considered anything but a watershed moment for our squad if he signs on the dotted line for us. I feel like if we can bring him into the fold, the floodgates will open for 2018 and not only start getting good players, but a lot of them.

Could all be a pipe dream should he put on the orange hat though haha

Yes. He was one of the thousands of guys that came to the camps this summer. Worked out for the coaches and earned himself a scholarship offer the hard way. Another great evaluation by Muschamp and Co. Its things like this that give me confidence in the guys that don't have a higher rating or offer list.

OrTre makes the right pick. He's a Gamecock!

Will be a tough tough fight to keep him til signing day though.

ETA: I am hearing he is a January enrollee. May not be as tough to hold on to as we thought.

Huge!!!! He will be a early enrollee. He will not be on flip watch at all. This recruitment was all about relationships, and his with Muschamp and BMac is the best.

Put this on the SEc recruiting board but this is great. Top in state talent is how those 11 win teams were built.

Is this a down year for HS football in SC? I only saw 3 four star prospects this year.

I think there is a good bit more under the radar than in previous years. Our commit Davonne Bowen was our lowest rated player before last week, now he's a 4* and #3 in the state. 2018 cycle has a ridiculous amount of talent. But to answer your question, yes it is a bit of a down year.

Andrew Leota (Pete's brother)
Jay Urich

5* Zamir White: said he really enjoyed game day atmosphere. Spoke with muschamp, roper and Bentley. Bentley gets it. Gave white a packet of sorts, "the plan for Zamir White." Included diet and workout plans as well as how he fits into the offense. Bentley is big time.

4* DT Rick Sandidge also spoke about game day atmosphere. Said we are in his top two with UNC. Talked to muschamp and Thompson.

Those were the two write ups. Everyone else commented the same that they loved the atmosphere etc, which is kinda the point.
