Jesus. I know everyone loses midweek games but Upstate always seemed to be even a tier below the Furmans, Woffords, etc of the world that occasionally knock one of us off.

There's a pretty good piece that GamecockCentral did today on the last time we played Texas and the build-up to the game in 2002. There are some great little nuggets that I had long forgotten or at least hadn't thought of in a while.
Losing Game 3s in the Super Regionals to ULL and Standford 2 years prior.
Needing to sweep UGA and have Bama sweep LSU in Baton Rouge on the last weekend of the regular season to win the SEC Title - both happened.
Down 3 runs in the 9th to defending champ Miami in the 3rd game of the Super Regionals in Columbia. Ended up winning 6-4.
Coming out of the Loser's Bracket in the CWS.
And of course, beating Clemson twice to get to the finals.

Side story on that. Holbrook was supposed to be watching his boys after the game well they disappeared and he had our team and clempsons team looking for them all over the park and parking lot. The live interview with Ray came on and sitting next to him were the boys.

Tough weekend for the team.
Need to move on from that with tomorrow's game against Davidson and get our asses in gear for a trip to Nashville to play the #2 ranked Commodores.
