I think the undefeated record got to our guys as we pressed towards the end of the first half and after the second half began. We took way too many 3s and had way too many turnovers. Bama had a hit shooting night but still had double digit turnovers. If we play our game and drive the ball to the rim (only shot 17 FTs and we average much more than that) then the game isn't a blow out.
It sucks to lose but I think it is more likely that this loss is a monkey off our back and the team will return to form than a snowball effect like the UF loss did last year.

From the past two games, we really need to defend the perimeter better.
Both Vandy and Bama had guys draining threes on us to start the game that immediately put us in a hole.
We will get raped by good shooting teams if we don't improve.

I thought, for awhile, it was gonna be deja vous all over again against Kentucky tonight ... black uniforms and all.
Speaking of black uniforms ... can't wait to see all the new uniforms and helmet options this coming season. Not sure how we'll play, but we're gonna look good.

The upper deck lights are shining. I'm not sure if they thought it would finally be packed up there and they wanted to show it off or there's a technical issue. If I were up there I'd be pissed with that shining in my face.

I like everything Silva does except shoot FTs. Can Martin just not make him shoot FTs for like half an hour after every practice or something?

It's a little disconcerting that teams are having so much success shooting threes against us. Clark was shooting some deep, deep shots, so I really don't know what else you can realistically do.
Still, good win in front of a good crowd. I'm still waiting to see the club dominate a bad team, but USC may honestly not be capable of that right now.

A big week this week, @OM & @UT. Have to split these 2. We've got to shoot the 3 ball much better tho, since the beginning of January minus the Auburn game we haven't shot the 3 well at all.

Realistically speaking we need to win both of those games.

After watching the Bama and Mizzou game I think the early game is really where we were weakest. Getting down early and having our guys go out there and shoot uncharacteristic 3's was the issue. Have a calm consistent first 10 minutes or so and I think we should be fine.
