What a game. LSU's Jordan Jefferson rises to the occasion as he leads the LSU offense to an upset win over Alabama in Tiger Stadium.

That TE reverse was one of the best and ballsiest calls I've ever seen

Yep. Alabama stole that play from the LSU playbook and used it against Michigan State in the bowl game that year.

I still say this was Saban's most talented team.

Well when you look at the squad purely from a stand point of future first round draft picks, you wouldn't be wrong:
Mark Ingram
Trent Richardson
Julio Jones
James Carpenter
D.J. Fluker
Chance Warmack
Marcell Dareus
Dont'a Hightower
C.J. Mosley
Mark Barron
Dre Kirkpatrick
Dee Milliner

I'm in the minority by taking the stand that Jefferson really wasn't that bad of a quarterback. Was he great? Certainly not. But the kid won us many games by extending plays with his legs, standing in the pocket and delivering a td (the TD to Rueben Randall in that very game) and many others. I'm perfectly content with saying that he was our best quarterback at the time.
He wasn't nearly as bad as LSU fans made him out to be.

my freshman year. what a game. after randle took it to the house, the stadium was loud as hell and didn't let up the rest of the game
that was such a statement game for les, and the program officially broke out of its 08-09 slump with that win. easily one of my favorite LSU seasons; countless great games that year (tennessee 13 men on field, florida fake punt, ole miss thriller, typical aggie buttrape in cotton bowl)

How does fricking Jordan Jefferson lead LSU to wins over Alabama in 2 consecutive seasons but Odell, Fournette, Landry, Hill, and Mett went fricking 0-fer?

How did les go 10-3 with that 2013 LSU team? 19/22 starters are/were on NFL rosters, inflicting two goat receivers and 2 starting NFL backs. An embarrassing arse kicking to Alabama, and lost to an ole miss team where half the roster was in a wheelchair. Ridiculous.

Was at this game. It was loud and not a fun time getting out of the stadium.

I attended this game, and I'm certainly glad I did. This game definitely marked the return to form that we were in desperate need of, at the time. It's hard to believe this took place six and a half years ago.

You answered your own question. Les Miles.

My answer is Coach Saban took wraps off the offense and turned it over to offensive minded coaches while Coach Miles did the opposite. It lead to whatever the count is now, 6, 7 or 8 consecutive losses to Alabama
