Behind Crosby or the Ford Center?

Oxford, infrastructure wise, cannot accomodate mandy more than what it has. That place is a nightmare now. Happy with 20k.
City is on top of it. They've been upgrading infrastructure non-stop for the past couple of years.

I wouldn't mind OM becoming more limited and state growing and growing. Like duke and NC. Hell yall are more elite anyway right?

Need to just ban freshmen from having cars.
Another common practice by some larger schools. Would open up a TON of parking in campus

That would be a horrible idea.

A lot of universities have been doing it a long time.

It wouldn't be a bad thing for ole miss and Oxford to continue to grow. If Oxford was just half the size of Athens I'd consider moving back to my home state. Oxford has the potential to be a great small city.

That sounds like it would be a pain in the arse if your a freshman. If you're like me during my freshman year and am coming from out of state and have no family anywhere near Ole Miss then you'd have to find a way to get all your shite over and get a place to park.

Or relegate all of their parking to whirlpool. That way they can go home when they need to, but are also more likely to carpool, take the bus, or walk.

Seriously give it 5-6 years and Oxford will be there as far as amenities are concerned.

Agreed. That would solve so fricking much. There's a huge parking lot northeast of Oxford that the University owns, and they do nothing with it. My proposition is that if they want their cars, then they can shuttle to them from campus, and then drive around Oxford, but not on campus. Any time a freshman car is found parked on campus (outside of a 30 minute zone, since I'd allow that), it's a $100.00 parking fee. I'd also allow there to be like 15 spaces in front of each dorm for temporary freshman parking that have them 30 minutes. It would solve so much shite. I rarely drove in college, and when I did, 90% of the time it was to the fraternity house or the beer store, and it's only like an 10 minute walk to frat row from Stockard.

Wow. That's actually really smart.
It really would solve a lot to just keep freshmen from having cars. Have them walk and take the OUT bus or whatever it's called.

Look at the Ole Miss board solving problems and shite. Another option would be to make all those frickers take drivers ed to go with alcohol edu.

Maybe it'll cut down on Texans. Since they won't have immediate access to their obviously leased cars, they'll go somewhere else.

Agree with the posters arguing for a 20k cap on enrollment. You will then start to see a rise in admission requirements and more and more kids apply for the available slots.
Also agree that it wouldn't be the end of the world to not allow freshman to have cars on campus. Many schools have this rule.
