will this change anything as far as the speed of the investigation?
Alot of people seem to think Slive is out to protect the SEC's only chance at a 5-peat
Thoughts?

Slive doesn't control the FBI and NCAA. I think the NCAA will try to get things worked out faster, if Auburn were to win next week. You got the Heisman and possible BSC game and they don't want more bad press on college football.
If Auburn goes down to Bama, things could go at a slower pace. IMO.

No way the media would allow the cheaters to screw Boise or TCU out of their shot.

Don't think so-its all about when you lose and its to that point into the season where it can hurt you especially with 2 undefeated teams up there!!

His point, AU would drop to 5-7 range, their computer ranking would still be #2. If they beat USC..... they would be in the title game.

then its simple, drop them to 8-10. Brad Edwards is just another part of the anti-Auburn ESPN/Disney/REC conspiracy so he's just basically telling the voters how to frick Auburn over.

Of course he does, how else would Auburn known about all of this ahead of time?

could being the operative word
Last year, a 1 loss Florida team (that loss came in the SECCG against Bama) was ranked ahead of an unbeaten Boise State but below an unbeaten TCU team in the final BCS standings.
LINK
TCU only has New Mexico left on their schedule so they are 99.9% certain to be undefeated.
If either Auburn or Oregon lose a game, TCU is most likely in the BCS title game. The computers and the human polls would have to love Auburn more than they loved a one loss Florida last year. Possible, but unlikely. Especially in a year when the human polls have consistently kept TCU and Boise State in the top 5. A one loss Auburn would likely be sandwiched between TCU and Boise, just as a one loss Florida was last year.
Now if Oregon AND Auburn both lose, a one loss Auburn is more likely to make the title game.
We shall see...

I could see voters dropping AU far enough so they don't make a difference. A way of saying be happy with your Heisman, but keep your damn dirty paws off the crystal.
