Florida's next coach

Mullen has no buyout...I'd be all for going after him.
Surely we can beat State in a bidding war but we won't be the only ones going after him.

Y'all are overlooking possibly the biggest, most important hurdle...
There's a gentlemans agreement throughout the SEC that prevents going after fellow active SEC HCs and Long is the LAST AD that'll break that agreement. There's not enough shark in him to go after Mullen AND land him while telling the rest of the ADs and SEC home office to kiss his arse. I won't get in to the whole Les Miles flirtation in this post, but that was never serious.
Besides all of that, UofA is close enough to a lateral move from MSU that the job itself won't make Mullen jump ship, and MSU will just price match suitors unless they're willing to WAY overpay (think like Saban money).
That being said, I could see one of the "big 6" schools, namely Florida or Tenn (in that order, with UF 100x more likely), getting desperate for success and breaking the agreement thinking they're above reproach. IMHO UF is the only one that has the right combo of SEC clout, ties to Mullen, recruiting advantages, and a big enough step up to lure him away.

he's the second best coach in the SEC by a large margin.
I believe Les Miles has that distinction being fired winning .770% of games 12 yrs. coached at LSU. That sir, is where we should explore. NOT Mullen at .600% in 8 years at MSU.

You are the worst alter ever

You do realize winning at lsu is exponentially easier than winning at msu right? And to the guy who said leaving Mississippi State to come to Arkansas would be a lateral move needs to remember that before fatass and Mullen this statement was not true. I mean hell whenever Mullen won 10 games a couple years ago it was like the first time in 50 years or something. We've had 3 10 win seasons since 2000. Before fatass msu had never beaten us in Arkansas. I do not consider us to be on the same level as may. Some of you need to have a little more respect for the university.

Friendly bump. You can tell me I was right. It's ok, honestly I promise. :)

Talent at msu is vastly underneath that of Georgia

What about Brent Pry? I wouldn't even look past Derek Mason either.

If we're dipping our toe into Penn State, I would rather throw a boatload of a cash at Joe Moorhead and try to land him first.

What about Stoops, I mean he would barely have to move.

Anyone still interested in Dan??

Probably. We seem attracted to 8-4 coaches because they throw the ball

So we all agree and move forward from this potato?
