And, I mean people who pay attention to all weight classes and watch as many fights as they can. Not the folks who buy the Mayweather/McGregor ppv to watch a big boxing match.

I was until the 1970's and the average guy could see a decent match for a decent price. Now they are all in Vegas and cost too damn much. Who can afford to take their kids to a big live match these days.

I've never been to a live match. But I keep up as much as I can with televised matches and YouTube. I think PPV has hurt the sport of boxing a lot. Bob Arum, for all of his faults as a promoter, has brought Top Rank to ESPN recently, so now anyone with cable can watch a decent card for free.

I am hoping that the other promoters will start following suit and save the PPV for the truly special events.

There are some good young fighters out there, including several Americans. The talent level is up there, and I would like to see boxing take some of the market share back from MMA.
